IDW's Classic Transformers collections

:BOT: Just curious since I haven't had a chance to flip through IDW's Classic Transformers Volume 1. Does it still include Spider-Man appearance? :CON:

No, it doesn't. The Classic Trades also don't include Circuit Breaker, which is why, in addition to #3, we also don't get #9, a page half blacked out of #21, #22, #23 or #45. It's also likely why we're not going to get another volume to collect the final eighteen issues, since she (and the Neo-Knights, also Marvel owned characters) appear in half of them.

Jeez...why did Marvel even bother? Most of those characters were either lame or just never used again, period.

Does this mean we won't be getting any of the UK stories with Death's Head?

:BOT: Wow. I hate to how #3 reads...

I just found it odd that the GI Joe collections remove all the Marvel logos yet the Greatest Battles of Optimus Prime and Megatron keep the Marvel logos. :CON:

I just picked it up and I must say, I was dissappointed that they couldnt include issues 3 and 9 but I think I will pick up the whole series.

Recently went on a spending spree and bought all the Classic Transformers volumes currently available. I noticed a few were out of print and I picked them up cheap while I can.

Seeing issue 3's omission obviously drive my nerd mind crazy. I can understand IDW's position but did Titan publish these issues with the Marvel content?

Though I will say that I love the quality of the books, the paper is great. The books feel like they'll last forever. Pretty stoked to read this stuff as I've only read the beginning and ending to the G1 comics.

Plus the price is pretty awesome.

Hopefully they'll do a G2 collection!

I just remember she plays a big role in bringing down Unicron... that'd be interesting to read

I have a bad feeling I might buy the Titan edition of End of the Road just to make sure I get the complete story.

I think the titan stuff does include the Marvel characters, as I still have my 5 Pound voucher for the volume including Spider-Man and he's featured prominently on the cover.

I flipped through Volume 5 and Circuit Breaker and The Neo Knights appear in their entirety. So it looks like the last volume will not have any omissions.

It's a good thing. As with most people, I love the Furman run so it's nice that the reprints will be untouched.

They worked out some kind of deal before doing Volume 5. Obviously they had to, otherwise there wouldn't have been a Volume 5.

Yeah, that'd be a big omission there.

Hate how they can't use Spidey, though. Glad I got some of the older collections.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

I have all the Titan US and UK TPBs (except for Transformers: Earthforce) and most of the hardcovers too.
So I can personally assure all of you that Spider-Man (and Nick Fury, who makes a very brief cameo in #3 as well) appears in full in Transformers #3 reprinted in the Titan Transformers: Beginings TPB and Hardcover. Circut Breaker and the Neo-Kinghts makes all of their full appearences through out the various Titan TPBs and Hardcovers of the Marvel US Transformers series too.
