Today after school let out, on my way home, I decided to stop by my local Target to price a few items for Christmas. As I walked down the aisle in the DVD section, I was looking for the Transformers Cybertron DVD set to price as well... only to find three boxed sets of the Transformers Energon DVD sitting on the shelves in front of them!
I thought it wasn't supposed to be released till later, but this was a very nice surprise. I wasn't able to buy it, as I was only pricing instead of buying. And to think that, in all the excitement I was in, I completely forgot to check the back of the case to see any of the special features in the set. But what really got me irked is that I had no way of taking pictures to show off on the Internet (my phone doesn't have a camera function).
But now that we no that it's out, this just means that there is one more Christmas item that we all need to keep our eyes open for. Let the hunt begin.

In my honest opinion, I thought that TF Energon was the worst TF series of them all. Cybertron was a BIG improvement. In fact, I quite enjoyed the Cybertron series very well.
But I'm still going to buy Energon for nostalgia anyway, and because I didn't really see the end of it.

According to TVShowsOnDVD.com, it's due out on December 16th, but today is the 13th, and it was found at Target on the 8th.

I done paid for it and they are in the process of shipping it out to me now.
My Transformers Collection is now complete, just missing the Japanese Counter Parts, The Headmasters, Victory, Beast Wars Neo, Super God Master Force.
And RiD cause it has never been released in the United States as of yet.
The United Kingdom has done had 3 re-releases of the box-set as it has yet to see the light of day in the United States.
And the way things are lookin I doubt we ever will.
So My Transformers collection is completed until RiD is released.
Transformers G1 S1, S2 prt. 1 & 2, 3,
Transformers-The Movie (1986)
Transformers-The Rebirth
Transformers-Beast Wars Seasons 1, 2, 3
Transformers-Beast Machines
Transformers-Armada Seasons 1 & 2
Transformers-Energon not yet recieved but on its way
Transformers-Cybertron
Transformers-Live Action Movie (2007)
Transformers-Animated Season 1, 2, Season 3 TBA 2009
Just wish we could get some Japanese Love in the states I would love to see the other shows I have never seen
Also it has been almost 10 years since I last saw RiD, I have completly forgotten about what it was about.

Since I didn't get to see much of it back when it was on, I went back and watched it all online. Youtube has EVERY episode, including both versions of the episode that they were going after a bomb (the reruns had this one edited to them saying that they going after a "device" instead of a "bomb").

Sabrblade was kind enough to go BACK to Target and take a picture of the DVD on the shelves for those that just have to have that little piece of proof. The DVD set was found at a Target in Tampa, Florida.

I doubt it, since that series was already fully released in two box sets.

Well, yeah, but that was back when Rhino was releasing them. I would think that Paramount would rerelease it in a fashion similar to the Energon and Cybertron sets. Oh well. I'd just rather spend $40 on one set than spend $100 on two sets.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

RID aired Fall 2001 through spring 2002. It's only been 6.5 years. Don't date us that fast!!
RID was released on DVD in the UK. I'd highly recommend getting that set. I bought a Phillips DVD player a few years ago that I was able to easily hack to be region free and have been enjoying the UK and Australian releases of RID and the Japanese exclusive series as well.

Which set(s) did you buy? The first two, the second two, or the third complete set?

I have a hard time watching things that arent in English even if they have been subtitled. Anime movies like Akira, Ghost in The Shell and DBZs get milked to **** with dvd releases. And most animes are retarded pieces of **** anyways. but they cant release old as hell transformers cartoons that dedicated fans have been pleading to be released for ages? And it wouldnt feel like i completed G1 sets with ones that arent from the country i live in.
But i am excited to own Energon because i never actually seen it.

I wouldn't get too excited. It actually faired the worst of all the Transformers series and suffered the most negative critcism.
