Touche, Grimdragon. I hadn't thought of that. You're probably right on the money.

I'm thinking Bludgeon is next, simply because the bonus figure may be easier to package with Impactor.
Hmm, yeah. That does make the most sense.

Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

I vote bludgeon. It makes sense to finish the combiner and as noted Bludgeon's box will be big. Easier to fit two deluxes in the last box.
So take this with a pound of salt, but a friend of mine knows some club people and apparently he saw a promo pic of the exclusive and it's bluestreak.
I don't vouch for his info at all, just reporting from. Reasonable source.r

It would also mean they could show Wreckage on Impactor's instructions without ruining any surprises.

If that turns out to be the case, color me disappointed.

Have to say that while I'd be a little disappointed to not complete the Decepticon targetmaster lineup... if that is indeed the exclusive I'd be SUPER pleased.
This is exactly what the club should be for. Completing "mandatory" lineups like the seeker trio, etc. There needs to be a place to get those toys out when they fall through the cracks.

For me, of the ideas I've heard tossed around, this is the one I actually like the best, although that comes with the caveat that I don't think the CW mold is an especially good Fairlady-bros body type.
I'll be perfectly happy if I learn that it's an idea I've not seen considered yet (assuming that it's a good idea, of course).

Yeah, I agree it's not the best match... between why-didn't-they-shave-these-off sirensand the chest-is-not-made-of-a-car-hood robot mode. But I'd still have been seriously disappointed if they didn't crank out the third one of the trio.
Makes me think. Who else from the original Ark cast have they left out of the new combiner line? Hmmmm.

Besides Bluestreak, there's Jazz, Sideswipe, Hauler, and the mini-vehicles.gothsaurus wrote:Yeah, I agree it's not the best match... between why-didn't-they-shave-these-off sirensand the chest-is-not-made-of-a-car-hood robot mode. Hoist would be an easy season 2 repaint. Since Hauler wasn't a major player (and we don't have a mold for Inferno/Grapple) I'm okay knowing we won't see him.
Would love all the mini bots though. If they re-did them as nicely as Wheelie....

So I'm gonna guess end of July/beginning of August for the next one. As for the possible bonus figure? I'd be down with that.

I simply wish they'd re-used First Aid as either Ironhide or Trailbreaker.
Hoping for Bludgeon before July is out. I have four limbs longing for a torso lol.

Dont you have a sad and lonely Cyclonus to hold Bludgeon's place til he arrives? Spinister does make a nice Fusion Cannon arm

hey RNSrobot,
I'm a little confused. They did already release a Trailbreaker and Ironhide based on that First Aid body style. Not sure what you're wanting... (?)
Sorry if I've missed something here.

I think he means the Ambulance/SUV version that First Aid was instead of the basic truck version that Offroad was. Retools can make this more tricky

Re: TCC and TFSS 4.0 Thread - Mayhem Attack Squad, G.I. Joe, Armada
oh yeah. there was a camper-back to that version of the mold. Agreed. I wish they had thought to do that. With the similarities with arms/legs, etc. I forgot all about the pick-up truck style back.
Maybe a third party will come out with a camper top.

Yeah, I think ironhide or trailbreaker would have been fun with the first aid version of the mold. I REALLY like the first aid tooling.
Albeit I REALLY like trailbreaker. The new forearms go a long way to giving him character and the black is just so slick.

At this stage of FunPub's final year, I'm less concerned about the timing of the remaining 4.0 figures, and even of the timing of 5.0 (since we've already ordered it), and more for when they're going to get orders for the Joe crossover set, Skywarp, and the Only Human figures up.
We're running out of time....

I'd have to disagree there. I think those are better suited to store exclusives or online shared exclusives (Like Brake-neck, Quickslinger, and deluxe Groove). The club makes a better venue for further-out stuff like Toxitron that would never be even considered otherwise.

I've given them a lonely Scattershot. The limbs didn't really WANT to, I mean... Betatron?

Cyclonus, on my shelf, is Cyclonus & the F***** Trucks. All four trucks are all four limbs.

Hey Zeedust.
Yeah, I think my point is that the club is a place for these toys(like Bluestreak) only AFTER they have fallen through the cracks.
But exactly as you said, the FIRST place I want to see them is store exclusives. But when Hasbro can't find a store to direct those toys to... and the line is over, THEN club is a great place to direct those "lost" characters we'd otherwise never get.
Of course, I ALSO really want to see the club do super-rare and random, wild characters from comics, lore, etc. The unreleased prototype characters are a great example. Those are probably the figures I've been most surprised and pleased by.
I guess bottom line, I think the club is a place for a MIX of figures. And I think they've done a great job of this... throwing a bone to fans of animated, G1, action masters, beast wars, diaclone, G2, Shattered Glass, UK comics, and even pretenders.
I hope Hasbro can take notice of how deeply TFCC dug and researched. I'd be really disappointed if we started getting convention exclusives that were just night/arctic Bumblebee/Prime repaints and chrome versions of characters... instead of new characters that show someone on the team did some serious homework to come up with and produce.

That's exactly why I love combiners. Swapping limbs and making your own combiner is awesome.
I don't know why that ever happened in the US cartoon. We got limb swapping in Scramble City, plus head swapping in Headmasters. That's like... the whole gimmick!!
Maybe in the new cartoon....

I think the point is, the club regularly comes up with things that Hasbro wouldn't even consider in the first place, much less shop them around and fail to find a market for them (thereby relegating them to the club).
Whether the specific example you cite falls into "Hasbro wouldn't have even thought to consider" or "Hasbro tried, but couldn't find a market" is perhaps up for debate. I think it's a better candidate for the first category than the second, but YMMV.
