Mykltron wrote:But why should it be in the top 10? Just cos it's big?
This is not related to it's position in this at all, but I don't call the ability to spread his legs 'great posability'.

Samsonator wrote:I think the #10 spot is a great place for Victory saber, size and being slightly better than a brick aside, the figure is a fantastic example of the gimmickry of the time, allowing for a lot of potential play value.
You start with the core gimmick of Brainmaster figures: A pilot which, when placed inside the body, forms not the head, but the face, and the core intelligence (the Brain, get it?) of the larger robot, in this case: Saber.
For some, this would be good enough, but Saber comes with the V Star, a flying fortress capable of converting into a base mode, like all good Autobot leaders had, or (in the series) it could also fly around on it's own to distract the enemy, carry out rescue operations while Saber was fighting, or probably even make pizza/beer runs when everyone else's just too tired.
Combining Saber with the V Star creates Star Saber, Autobot leader and "Greatest Swordsman in the Galaxy" with one kickin' shiny giant sword!
But we're talking Victory Saber, so the fun doesn't stop there!
Bring along his good friend Victory Leo (Rebuilt from the dying/dead God Ginrai), who's got several modes in his own right (Robot, Lion, Flying... thing... that's really only used for a combined vehicle mode). He's got shoulder cannons, a BFG, and very large wings.
Finally you combine the two together for the final product, #10 on the list of the 25 best according to Blurrz, Victory Saber.
With all that going on for it, I can't help but believe it deserves a spot in the top 10. And after listing all this off, I REALLY want to get one...

He's the biggest dickhead in transformers history to me. He killed his best friend and turned him into a pair of platform boots and a backpack. Come on.

This is a great prime ... but it's vehicle mode has a tendancy to fall apart at the seams.
