I used to have trouble with his vehicle mode, until I realized that I hadn't locked his super mode shoulder pads into that extended part of his midsection correctly. Now he rolls fine.

Oh, yes. Properly peg the lower legs and he's stable, with good poses.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

Sorry for the hiatus, I was busy with midterms this week, and I'll be busy again. But If I've got time for posting news, then I've totally got time to add another entry here...
#8 - Classics Jetfire
During it's release - 2005 or something like that, I think this was one of the most popular figures out there. Since I wasn't connected to the fandom back then, I didn't know exactly what other people's opinion figures were on the figure, but from what people are saying about it - Classics Jetfire was one of those breakthrough figures.
Personally, I think Jetfire is one of my favourite characters of all time, whether it's G1/Classics or A/E/C. I haven't gotten to handle the movie toy of him yet, so my opinion on that is reserved!
Onto the toy. I don't exactly know Jetfire's origins into the Transformers Universe. I'm guessing he was some sort of Macross mix. His Classics figure definitely shows off that Macross aesthetic. I think the coloring, the guns, and that visible pilot seat is just so dynamic and killer.

You take that off and you get a beautiful and very pleasing plane mode. It's got everything that a plane Transformer needs.. wheels for landing, aerodynamics, and much more.

My goodnees - Do I really need to say more about the figure? It's robot mode is everything you want from a Transformer. Good articulation, good posing, and a freaking battle mask!

Jetfire also packs a nice arsenal, and it doesn't really detriment articulation or anything like that.

Jetfire's just one of those figures that everyone needs to own. It shows off what good can come from the Classics line.. some figures were iffy and some were bad, this one is just damn terrific.

Repaints. Well there's one that's pretty controversial to say the least. It was released with the Botcon Seekers in '09. Dreadwind.. good luck getting your hands on one! I really like how the figures parallel each other. Jetfire's the Autobot, with the patriotic red colors. Dreadwing's the Decepticon with the subtle evil Purple!
The repaint in the Universe toyline was Tread Bolt. Funny enough, I happened to have purchased him today. He's a great repaint.. he homages a very little G1 character. I like how 'Air Defense' is logo'd on him. The colours are my favourite on the mold, the grey weapon - not so much.

Lastly the latest repaint of Jetfire is a Takara Exclusive Dark Skyfire. Looks pretty badass, and you can order it off site sponsor RobotKingdom (woot my first advertisement in this thread) for a cheap price.

If you don't have the mold, get it - It's one of the best planes in the Transformers Universe!

Er... do you actually own this figure? His articulation is FAR from good. He desperately needs rotating upper arms and thighs. As for good posing, it's very hard to stand him in such a way that he won't topple backwards. I really dislike this figure.
Well, each to their own! Thanks for continuing with this thread though - you left it so long this time I'd forgotten about it!

While I'd agree that the classics Jetfire mold is a good toy and might deserve a spot on the list, I don't think he should be ranked this high. Maybe somewhere in the bottom 10 or something.

I am not a fan of classics jetfire, he just never made the cut with me, classics starscream on the other hand was a pure win classics jet. Just had to wait until Universe 2.0 Starscream to get decent colors for him.

Currently searching for Cybertron Supreme Starscream & G2 Go-Bots Megatron, Complete at good prices. PM if you can help please.

For sheer play-value, Jetfire is the business. Shame about his too-large head, and on mine at least, his tailfin keeps falling off.

I find it equal parts sad and funny that not only do you not own half these figures but you're a relatively newer fan. To compound this, admitting not being familiar with the fandoms feel for things certainly doesn't sell me that you should be doing these write ups at all. I'm not trying to be a douchebag, I just don't get it why it's you doing the top 25 Transformers of all time instead of the top 25 you own.

Someone has to do it..And I'm not that 'new'. I started off in the beginning of Beast Wars and stopped at Energon. Thus my 3-4 year hiatus was during the times Classics was originated.
Don't forget G1, G2, Machine Wars, Cybertron, Robot Masters, and the final gasps of Alternators. Not counting any of the numerous Takara specialty items.

Here's one that's the perfect example of what I'm talking about. Hell, I don't own this guy and I'd love to. I personally wouldn't include him in this kind of list without owning it though.

A little fact checking with your other collaborators couldn't hurt. He's actually one of very few. There's a list, It's short lol. Big Convoy, New Year Convoy and MP Convoy, not including our boy Cybertron Prime. So those and their subsequent repaints. There are others with opening panels that show matrix detail as well. They aren't removable though.
Having said what I've said, I'm going to sound like I'm attacking you. That isn't the case no matter how I try to say it. So, don't take offense. If this is a collaborative effort, why not have one of our own do the figures you don't have? For example Seibs or CP themselves. Fairly certain they both own Victory Saber.

Classics Jetfire... I like the figure, but it is inferior to the G1 counterpart, which is pure awesomeness!

To his credit, he tried to get me to write the Star Saber one, but I've been quite busy since before the holidays.

Fair enough. Like I said, I don't mean to sound like I'm attacking the guy. Also, I forgot to mention the Hybrid Convoy figures each have a removable matrix. My bad.

Alright, we're entering the month of February. As we embark into the month of love... it's been 2 months since I've started this, and my goal was to finish this in one month. Sadly we've still got 7 more entries. I've decided to do the smart thing, I'm going to finish everything here and now in this small post. I've got midterms, tests, what not for University. If I try to be the same calibre of news crew guy like I am today, I just won't have time to keep doing this....
So here we go again, short and sweet...
#7 - Classics Starscream

This figure is quite popular for it's size. It's not trying hard and it's still one of the better figures to be released. It's got the 'seeker' look, it's been repainted a trillion times, some controversial, some not so much, and still sells like hot cakes.
#6 - Revenge of the Fallen Prime

For it's time, it's one of the best figures released... comparing to the rest of the Transformers in the past 25 years, he's also something special. To take a CGI from a toy and replicate it on to a toy.. it's just bloody brilliant. I know 2007 Movie Prime paved the way for ROTF Prime, so that's also given a special mention.
#5 - Classics Prime

Alone, this figure might not be anything special. It's just Prime.. in the fun, and fan favourite form of Classics/Universe. Throw in some 3rd party action, and you've got a figure that's been in greater demand than anything else since the 'Commander' release.
#4 - Generation One Starscream

One of the reasons the numero uno seeker is on this list is because he is numero uno. I'm not saying he started off repaints, but the repaints that have originated from him... well let's say 25 years later we've got one helluva fanbase for the Seekers, one for the Starscream fangirls, and just a staple of Transformers repaints.
#3 - Generation One SixShot

The name says it all. Six modes. All of them are badass. I'm not saying he started off Transformers gimmicks, but he's one of the most memorable of all time. Good news for us, as he looks like he'll be getting a reissue, and that also means his own Seibertron.com gallery..
#2 - Armada Unicron

It's the figure that was 15 years in the making. It's from my favourite toy line and it's the most menacing evil figure you can possibly have in your collection. One of a kind.
And now we come to the pivotal point of the report.. and something I've been waiting to tell everyone...
#1 - Generation One Blurr
CmonguysbestfigureoutthereyouknowoutofalltheBlurrshesthebesthahhahayouguysgotpunkedlololololol...

er...wait.. a sec....
#1 - Masterpiece Optimus Prime

No explanation needed. Best Figure Ever.
So to round that up, we've got:
#25. G2 Laser Optimus Prime
#24. BW II Lio Convoy
#23. Alternators Smokescreen
#22. RID Megatron
#21. Cybertron Hot Shot
#20. 2007 Movie Bumblebee
#19. God Ginrai
#18. Counterpunch
#17. Beast Wars Optimal Optimus
#16. Armada Jetfire
#15. Energon Galvatron
#14. G1 Devastator
#13. G1 Predaking
#12. G1 Soundwave
#11. Cybertron Optimus Prime
#10. Victory Victory Saber
#9. RID Optimus Prime
#8. Classics Jetfire
#7. Classics Starscream
#6. ROTF Prime
#5. Classics Prime
#4. G1 Starscream
#3. Sixshot
#2. Armada Unicron
#1. Masterpiece Prime
So there we have it. Have fun? What figures should have been in the Top 25? What's your own list look like?
Cheers, have a good one,

I might argue with some of the other entries, but not MP Prime at the top. It probably is the best TF figure ever made.

Great list, but I think Cybertron Hardtop should have made it into the top 10. That little guy is great and we've gotten some wonderful repaints out of him.

Re: The Blurrz Report - The Top 25 Transformers of All Time
Thank you very much for an entertaining and interesting list Blurrz! Appreciate all the hard work you did on it. And...you've given me a good and similar (though not actionably similar)idea...

Great list. I'm lucky enough to own 18 of them (if you count Classics Soundwave and DVD Optimus Prime), as well as the Megatron version of the E-Galvatron mold.
I personally would put ROTF Leader Prime in first, w/ MP Prime 2nd. Movie accuracy and overall toy awesomess trump G1 goodness and die-cast heft in my book, just a little.

Though there are plenty of figures on that list that I don't own, I can't argue with any of the choices. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Thanks for taking the time to do it!

Amen! It's one of my favorite figures of all time.
