One of the rumours is that Ultra Magnus will be retooled into a headmaster figure (probably prime) which will also have a base mode. People have found a way to configure the mold into a base already to see if a remold would give a decent base mode:

That does look really similar to Powermaster Prime's base mode. I wonder if they may be planning to introduce Ginrai to the U.S. as a separate character? Like have the shuttle prime be Optimus and have this rumored remolded Magnus be Ginrai? They could change the chest area on Ambus to be a human in armor and keep the cab area on Magnus the same except for the head which I'd imagine is molded with some of the blue parts of the trailer.

lol, I remember those, at least the mp megs had schematic art in one of the box arts, so there was some level of legitimacy with that, but if you dismiss that, then the botcon schematic art goes with as far as its' legitimacy. TT could still pull out that new megs, since they're seperate, I wouldn't count them out, they seem to have increased the pace at which they release mp's; that's not to say that I'm holding my breath, however

I would, however, get ready for many more radical character changes (possible o/p in astrotrain body, etc.)

I didnt include that megs rumour. This tank MP rumour was another one based on some suppliers are just not as savy as colletors, they saw this and thought it was an MP:

There have been a lot of rumours circulating the interwebs and I thought it would be best to list down what we know so far and what is and isn't supported by any evidence. The unsubstantiated rumours come from a 5 minute section of the Transmission Podcast, episodes 114-123. I personally listened to these podcasts to see what was behind these rumours and it turns out that a fan of theirs claims to have seen prototypes of toys in pictures (they themselves are not a Hasbro employee but probably have a contact there) and builds assumptions off these, and then sends the info (not the pictures) to the podcast under the very original name "deepthroating". I have listed everything of importance below, saving you a few hours of repetitive sexual innuendos. The last section of this will detail the rumors that did not pan out for 2015 just to give an indication at the how many grains of salt you should take with these rumours (being Canadian, this is how we will be spelling that word this evening, spell check be damned!).

Rumours Substantiated by some evidence:

Titan Class Fortress Maximus, this should be the only titan class figure coming out in 2016 and it will have a double headmaster as the G1 toy did.



An Astrotrain-like Transformer with a headmaster looking like Optimus Prime

A Leader sized Headmaster of Blaster which also has a base mode. Several smaller casette-type Transformers (we could call it more like a communication device) will be released which can fit inside the chest. The upcoming Buzzsaw is one of them and we also have listings for Autobot Stripes and Rewind.





The fact that we have listings for both Decepticon and Autobot casettes could mean that Blaster could be redeco'd / retooled into Soundwave.

Other Headmaster Transformers will be available and their smaller headmasters will be able to interact with smaller vehicles made for them, along with the base modes (such as the one of Fort Max and Blaster). The class for the little headmasters which may be bought individually, are rumored to be called "Titan Masters".




Rumours Substantiated by no evidence

These are all from the aforementioned podcast.

Deluxe Cybertronian Scourge with titan master (I think it will be a target master)

Deluxe Cybertronian Blurr with titan master (I think it will be a target master)

Headmaster Sentinel Prime and Galvatron who transforms into his G1 Alt Mode

A retool of Leader Ultra Magnus as Powermaster Prime. He will also be a headmaster and have a base mold. Someone posted an image of how that could work given the Leader Magnus mold:



Alpha Trion with beast kibble found on his robot mode. He should also turn into a ship.

The following "cassettes": Rumble and Frenzy

The following Headmasters: Brainstorm, Chromedome, Hardhead, Highbrow, Nightbeat, Siren, Horribull and Skullcruncher. These are supposedly labeled as Deluxes and will come with both a headmaster and another transforming figure which can interact with the titan masters. These smaller accessories have vehicle and beast alt modes.


Rumours for 2015 that did not pan out

I will now list the rumours at the begining of the year that didnt turn out to be true:

Hotspot would be a retool of the Optimus/Motormaster mold

The Constructicons would be MPs when released by Takara

The Constructicons would be released individually in Japan

MP Tank Megatron

MP Ratchet

MP Shockwave

MP Blitzwing

MP Galvatron

And of course, let us not forget the G1 reissue of the Dinobots and how well that turned out.

Yep. There always seems to be a catch with things nowadays. I think you're better off predicting how badly things turn out rather than who gets a decent figure. My money's on Scourge, Blurr, and Horri-Bull somehow sharing a mold!

Supposedly, they will be bigger than deluxe sized but called "deluxe".
