Custom G1 Arcee

Postby Mr_N8DT » Wed Apr 30, 2008 9:01 pm

I was wondering if anyone had ever thought of making a G1 arcee out of
an old G1 blurr! There would be a bit of customising and body shaping but i think its doable as they are both very similar. Maybe make it a little more articulated too.

Hey at only $250 a pop, go for it...

It's something I contemplate weekly actualy, but I don't know why, my brain starts screaming at me every time I look at something over $150?

Under $150, "go for it" it sayes, over $150, no matter how much I try to kill it with beer, it just won't let me.

Too right, only my brain is my missus who can't justify me paying $225au for an original omega supreme....till i told her i already paid for it. 250 is a bit steep though

$225 for Omega?

My boxed one I payed $350 at a collectors shop before Ebay. But this past summer I bought a loose complete one on Ebay for $85.

I'm gonna tell you, the yellow clips are the hard part, but if you can't find one complete, the other parts are plentiful and pretty cheap realy.

Shop around and mix and match if you have to, you can do alot better on a vintage Omega than $225 if you shop right.

Yeah but its all about shipping to australia, bugger all people want to send here cause of "previous damaged items". We can't even get any kind of original/masterpiece megs shipped in without being a member of a collectors club! Meh! I was lucky with the clips i only got to find 1 big one and thats already sorted. Is there a forum to post your own collection on here?

About 5 or more years ago I found someone on ebay selling a repainted G1 Blurr made to look like Arcee.

The same guy was also selling a customed G1 headmaster Chromedome to be headmaster Arcee.

I too wanted a G1 Blurr re-done: paint apps, a new head, shortening of the hood, one rear fin with the head hidden behind the seats and you are done! COME ON HASBRO !!! I really hope we get that Animated Arcee with G1 ish car mode.

I just bought a Pink & White ARC so I will post pics of it poised near the wedding cake !!!

There's no forum for collections, but so long as you keep it to your own collection you can start a thread like I did, bookmark it, and update it as you see fit.

Click the link in my sig, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Im pretty certain that at one point Hasbro intended to do just that, repaint Blurr into Arcee (I dunno if this was intented for the same release time as the otherm ovie toys or later). But they decided not to.

My only guess would be to switch out the heads(After a decent paint job of course) with Enegon Arcee.
It sounds like it would be sorta decent.

that i'm aware of rabid squirrel (the peiple that have done the ARC figure) are selling the last of their ARC figures off cheap, cause the 1 i bought (assembly included) was only $250!
