Fake. Someone just took Twin Twist's boxart and stuck some drawing of a human in armor behind it.

Both pieces don't even share the same style or artist, and all box art for Pretender figures had the same style, and showed the robot in all three modes.

I actually don't doubt the authenticity of this though I imagine it's purpose is "more than meets the eye". I imagine this is just a mockup piece demonstrating the concept of the Pretender toy line or the Pretender box artwork. I highly doubt this artwork is intended to represent a Pretender Twin Twist.

I don't doubt its authenticity either, it's perfectly reasonable for a company to play around with ideas. Plus the jumpstarters would probably be a relatively easy mold to fit into a Pretenders.

Very neat concept, I save the picture for the knock off and oddities website I hope to do sometime this year.
