1. I know Zoids didn't do that well in America, but have you ever considered doing a joint Zoids/Transformers line? Since Zoids is owned by Takara/Tomy, I don't see it as too impossible.
2. Are there any plans to make a new Transformers animated series? similar to Beast Wars, in that it is CG and not Hand Drawn? Possibly Movie based?
3. Do you have any plans on Making the other Constructicons from ROTF in a Deluxe, Voyager or Leader Class? I mean of course Hightower, Scrapper, and Overload.
4. I know this has been asked before. Why was Blackout never made into a Leader class for the first film, but Brawl was? I like Leader Brawl, but I feel Blackout is more deserving, since he is the biggest transformer in the film.
Thank you

Re: HASBRO Q/A Next Round Questions Due Monday
Alright! Lets get down to it. ONE BURNING QUESTION that I am surprised nobody has asked yet.
Rumors have been running rampant about a Energon Bruticus repaint in the ROTF line, but so far there has been very little evidence to support it. i had to dig through forums for about an hour just to get a glimpse of truth behind this rumor. If you can shed some light on the matter PLEASE do.

1. Will there be a mainline Jetfire figure in another size class, like a voyager, and if so, will it combine with the current, or a future voyager Optimus Prime?
2. Will the remaining 3 constructicons, Overlord, Hightower, and Scrapper get mainline figures such as deluxes or voyagers?
3. Will the "little one" constructicon from the movie, the one used to rebuild Megatron, get a toy as well? Because I heard it wasn't any of the other known constructicons, and it was actually a backhoe, or a Scrapper with a steam shovel at the back of the vehicle. If not, who was that guy? Hightower?
4. Why wasn't Overlord included with the Supreme Devastator toy?
5. Does Hightower even have an official robot mode, or does the legends toy have one just to have one?

$$$$ my friend. The construction vehicles in the movie that formed Devastator didn't have individual robot modes, so it appears Hasbro thought "why should the toy?" It's a shame that it was cheaped out. There are currently no publicly known plans to to do a future relese of them combining from separate robots, other than a possible Hasbro release of Takara Tomy's EZ Devastator set (i.e. the Legends class Constructicons).

Why would they? As you stated, Zoids didn't do well in the States ... so no dice from Hasbro there. I imagine you'll see a Transformers / GIJOE cross over before you'll see a Transformers / Zoids cross over. Considering that in 25 years we've never had a Transformers / GIJOE cross over, I wouldn't hold your breath.
Tyrannotaur wrote:2. Are there any plans to make a new Transformers animated series? similar to Beast Wars, in that it is CG and not Hand Drawn? Possibly Movie based?
Details on this will be announced most likely in 2010 as Hasbro continues to work out the details on their new partnership with Discovery Kids. You won't see a CG cartoon based on the movie characters.
Tyrannotaur wrote:3. Do you have any plans on Making the other Constructicons from ROTF in a Deluxe, Voyager or Leader Class? I mean of course Hightower, Scrapper, and Overload.
Hasbro has stated several times that they do not have current plans right now for the other Constructicons. We'll keep you posted here on Seibertron.com when news of this possibly breaks.
Tyrannotaur wrote:4. I know this has been asked before. Why was Blackout never made into a Leader class for the first film, but Brawl was? I like Leader Brawl, but I feel Blackout is more deserving, since he is the biggest transformer in the film.
Cost. Fun factor. Safety issues. A bunch of marketing people sitting around a table in a conference room trying to figure out what would sell to the kiddies and possibly the collectors. What would have the higher mold value for future repaints, etc.
Hasbro acknowledged at BotCon 2007 or 2008 that cost was the biggest reason why those figures weren't made to scale, more-or-less. The Deluxe class figures are Hasbro's top selling size of Transformers, followed by the Voyager Class I believe. I can't remember what Hasbro's specific statement was about the ratio, but it was some absurd number which is why you generally only see Megatron and Optimus Prime as Leader Class figures, though the past year or so has seen that general rule broken multiple times (Brawl, Ultra Magnus, Bulkhead, and the upcoming Leader class Starscream).

Yes, it's coming down the pipes. Probably just waiting for Target to reset their aisles in the next month or so. We've seen pics of it. Some people have actually purchased them in the stores. They're coming.

It appears the Crossover lines are doing well enough. The Star Wars Transformers are going on almost 4 years now surprisingly. I highly doubt a Galactus planetformer would be made. Darth Vader / Death Star made sense (well, relatively speaking) because they wanted to give us a Death Star toy. Darth Vader would be the obvious choice. What would Galactus turn into? There's nothing comparable to the Death Star in the Marvel Universe to the best of my knowledge.
Ah, if they had only done this toy line "right" and done a TRUE cross overs line with actual Transformers characters turning into Star Wars vehicles. Imagine Starscream turning into a tie-fighter (or something more appropriate) or Unicron turning into the Death Star. Now that would've been a truly awesome toy line.

No. Any future regular TV series will be separate from the movie in design, style and continuity.

mitchsantona wrote:1. When can we expect to see the Animated toys shown at Botcon?
Some of the items will begin showing up later this fall as Hasbro continues to find retailers who want to sell these products (and/or provide shelf space for them to be sold while ROTF continues).
mitchsantona wrote:2. Will there be a Leader Class Fallen figure?
I'll quote Hasbro for this one.

mitchsantona wrote:3. Will Universe Line continue?
Yes. Both Walmart and Target have Universe exclusives coming down the pipes later this year. Expect the regular Universe line to continue in 2010 due to its popularity.

This has been considered and mentioned previously. However, no plans have been officially announced yet regarding this. If Hasbro does re-release previous Transformers "Classics" toys, expect them to be in slightly different color schemes than their original release (such as Classics Starscream and Universe Starscream).
primus123 wrote:2. will you ever do an ultra magnus like the city commander armor that includes the ulatra mangnus figuer to.
No. For whatever reason, Hasbro doesn't feel this would sell.

Primus1101 wrote:All of my questions are ROTF.
1. Will we see any other versions of Jetfire? E.g. Deluxe or Voyager?
I'm pretty positive that we can say "No plans currently".
Primus1101 wrote:2. Will we see a Leader Class Fallen or Leader Class Blackout/Grindor?
Not at this time. Hasbro more-or-less stated at BotCon 2009 that we were barely going to get Leader Class Starscream. I'm counting my blessings with that one.
Primus1101 wrote:3. Will there be a Premium line at all?
Hasbro has already stated that there are no plans currently for a Premium line.
Primus1101 wrote:4. Will you release a Robot Replicas Jet Prime with posability and accuracy?
This I'd like to see answered. This would've been a good question, though it probably would've been answered with "no plans currently."
Primus1101 wrote:5. Will we get some more of the larger characters into the Human Alliance Line? Such as "Ironhide and Lennox", "Ratchet and Simmons", "Mudflap, Chromia and Leo" and "Optimus with Holographic Driver"?
No plans currently. Hasbro has already stated that they're currently using this line to flesh out the deluxe figures in order to offer those characters in a larger class size.
Primus1101 wrote:6. Why was Rampage's design changed from a pogo stick to a crab for the toy?
Character has two "robot" modes, both of which I believe were seen in the movie or at least in concept sketches for the robot mode. The "pogo stick" mode is officially referred to as Jackhammer mode.
Primus1101 wrote:7. Will we ever see Hightower, Scrapper or Overload made into Deluxes or Voyagers?
No plans currently as Hasbro has already stated several times.
Primus1101 wrote:8. Will we get any box sets such as "Prime's Final Fight" or something with Voyagers Optimus, Megatron (ROTF), Starscream (ROTF) and Grindor or a "Desert Showdown" set with Skids, Mudflap, Devastator and two small figures of Simmons and Leo?
I could see this happening without the Simmons and Leo figures. Maybe one day as a Sam's Club or Costco set. However, Hasbro has not stated any plans for sets like this yet. I imagine this is probably decided when a retailer comes to them asking for an exclusive (or vice versa).
Primus1101 wrote:9. (An odd questions) Why is Britain so behind in the ROTF Sales because while America is on Wave Three-Wave Four, we are still stuck with Wave One?
Hasbro, like any major retailer, ships the bulk of their products to where they think they will sell the most. It is unprecendented that we're on wave 6 deluxes already in less than 3 months time. Hasbro has never released this much Transformers product this quickly before. They've basically released more than a year's worth of product in less than 3 months. It will take some time for the foreign markets to catch up on new products. I imagine the foreign markets will see a more normal release, or at least a slower paced one than the American releases.
Primus1101 wrote:10. If their is a Leader Starscream (as I believe was confirmed at BotCon), when will it see release?
This would've been a good question to have answered as well. Based on the prototype images that we've seen and the upcoming lack of figures around Christmas time, I imagine this figure will see a November release. If not in November, then surely 1st quarter 2010.
Primus1101 wrote:Well, that's all my questions. Hope I didn't put down too many!
Hopefully I was able to answer most of your questions for you.
