Planet Iacon has shared an image that shows pricing and 2015 release dates for reissues of four TakaraTomy Masterpiece releases: Red Alert, Sideswipe, Starscream, and Optimus Prime. Image plus release dates and pricing follow below! Red Alert and Sideswipe are both scheduled for February 2015 at 5800 Yen each, MP-11 Starscream, the retooled version with coronation gear, will follow in March for 13,800 Yen, and MP-10 will hit (again) in April for 22,000 Yen. It's impossible to know exactly where the exchange rate will be in 2015, but putting a decimal point after the first two zeroes should give you a ballpark idea.

Thanks to fellow Seibertron.com user shajaki and the Planet Iacon Facebook page, we have news of a juicy Transformers reissue in 2015 from Takara Tomy, concerning the Masterpiece line. It appears as though MP-14 (Red) Alert and MP-12 Lambor (Sideswipe) will show up again in February 2015 (currently priced 5800 Yen, approx $60), MP-11 Coronation Starscream in March 2015 (priced at 13800 Yen, approx $140) and MP-10 Convoy (Optimus Prime) in April 2015 (priced at 22000 Yen, approx $220). What's interesting is that these appear to be actual TakaraTomy Japan re-releases and not the typical Hasbro Asia under the TakaraTomy logo reissues that we're inundated with.

So these should probably be cheaper if you can manage to snag them from Japanese retailers.

Well, at least reissue Starscream gives me a second chance, in case I miss the Hasbro Asia version sells out before my graduation in June.

Also gives me some time to set some aside for Optimus.

Here's Hoping that Means a possible release of the TRU Prime here....that was scalped everywhere. And Possibly new mold Screamer.....If nothing, it will drop the online prices of the Prime and Screamer.

So I may have MP-11 yet! I got some issues with the design but if I can get him for the original Japanese pre-order price, then I guess why not.

Wonder if they'll colour the Autobots' eyes baby blue like they do now with the newer figures.

You know, if HLJ carries it, I'll probably grab a MP-10. I won't be proud of it, but at around $200 I don't know if I could pass it up.

I don't see anything in their pricing out of line with typical Takara MP pricing. Heck, the ~$140 for Starscream beats the pants off the ~$200 that the Asian market re-release ran.

That is great news for the folks who missed out the first time. Good to see there is a demand for MP figures. Is this the 2nd or 3rd reissue of Sideswipe and Red Alert? How are people going to tell these apart from the KO?

As a new guy here I didn't get Alert when he was first issued, so I pulled the trigger and picked up a knock-off, thinking I would never see a chance to get the official one. So glad I might have that chance again; I'll be keeping an eye on HLJ.

I don't know how people will tell the difference before buying, but it was fairly obvious that it wasn't up to the standards of Takara, what with typos and poorly fitting parts.

personally id avoid ebay. once i know KO's exist i become very paranoid. stick to trusted online stores. when he was first released some of the cheaper retailers had him around 60 bucks, but after a quick search the best i could find was 80.

if youre hoping for a 60 dollar price tag, id wait for the reissue and hit up the stores that had those juicy prices originally. i bought my first MP car from BBTS for 80 bucks (sans coin or piledrivers) and had the others preordered. then i started looking around when the datsuns were almost hitting shelves, and chimung had the first guy (prowl with coin and launcher) for 65 bucks! i was floored. so i cancelled my datsuns from BBTS and have being buying my MP's from chimung since then. i would bet chimung will have a similar price when the reissue hits shelves.

Takara's plans for next year changed drastically. It is the reason why so many Grimlocks are getting reissued.

This is the first time I have heard the re-issue news being a fake. BBTS has the 2nd production run of Red Alert up as a pre-order. And MP Sideswipe 2nd production run on BBTS is already available.

Those are separate; the ones on BBTS are the "Asia Exclusive" re-issues.

And the ones reported in this thread were supposed to be from Japan.

Also, could someone clear this up? What is the difference(s) with the Asia Exclusive MP-10 and the original MP-10? Are there any, really? I saw one for sale recently.
