So, today I was wandering the isles at Target and there was Ultra Magnus in all his glory. But wait, something was not right. Unlike the Ultra Magnus of the past, this fella was lacking the white that has graced his presence for decades. Instead he boasted more blue, complemented by a somewhat of a robins-eggblue in place of his normal beautiful white. He looks very drab and lacks luster. Needless to say I am very disappointed. Is this how he is to be? Is this a mistake soon to be corrected. In all honesty, I can only hope. What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are that I wish I could find a TFA Ultra Magnus in a store.

As such, I can't say whether TFA Magnus is like that here.
But I did find a website here which has lots of pics throughout the transformation.
When the site was posted on Seibertron news a while back, I'd thought it was just a trick of the lighting, but it does appear that the white parts are more blueish than white.

Is it a mispaint on part of Hasbro?
If so, will it be corrected, leaving "Baby Blue Magnus" a sought-after collector item?

Or is the bright white on the official sites merely a Photoshop?
Is Magnus entering into the realm of pastel Easter-ish colors?

So are you saying it isn't enough like Magnus's past carnations. Or that it looks like Hasbro screwed up the Magnus figs you saw in the stores color schemes?

He isn't white and blue but a very pale blue and dark blue, had mine for a few months now. It is a bit WTF when you first see it, but after a while you really dont notice it unless he is next to a white figure or background.

It is so worth the money though, one of my favorite TF"s ever. :grin:

I find something incredibly bland and boring with regular magnus. I'm gonna get the more awesome Roadbuster one.

I don't know I think I would much rather see him in the traditional white and blue. I am disappointed if this is going to be his coloring.

I e-mailed Hasbro concerning this color issue. They said they are looking into the color change and to be assured that they would forward my my e-mail to upper mngmnt. So, we shall soon see if there will be white on UM or not.
