Hey all,

I'm wondering if there's any particular movieverse Ironhide that tickles your fancy. I'm thinking about picking one up-hopefully one that is in scale w/ BB Bumblebee and/or Leader RotF Prime.

Will probably be the new leader. If he ends up being garbagio, which I doubt, it's the 2007 original version. It's probably the one you want to get as well. There are some tricksters who interchanged some of the newer Ironhide's head with the 2007 Movie body. But that's a bit radical.

The other versions.. Premium has snow on the top of the windows (the designers are clearly not from Canada), while Offroad is blue and has the mud effect and I call it something else. ROTF is cool but he's gray, and his weapon is lacking something. Recon is pretty wicked, but it's just not screen accurate and it's also called something else. Fury of the Bonecrusher was ridiculous to get because It wasn't even mass released properly. The Voyager DOTM looks too skinny and just lacks that bulkiness.

Yeah, that's six Ironhides I own. What, want to fight about it? :grin:

The original 07 voyager is my favourite. Very poseable, great proportions, no powder blue paint and the guns can stay attached to the arms in alt mode. If only he'd had a ball joint neck.

That's okay. I own five Bumblebees (please don't kill me).

Thanks for your help. I was thinking about the leader one, but it depends on what his guns are like and how well he's in scale. Though I did just get HA Jazz and he's not in scale with anything movieverse, so maybe I'll just give up on scale.

What about the Deluxe Ironhides? Not that they're in scale either...at least with most figures.

2007 original for me-never seen a reason to upgrade him-hes spot on IMO

I like the original 2007 one best, but I also really, really like the one in the Fury of Bonecrusher two-pack with all his weapons and mud splatters. But yeah, if you only want one Ironhide, get the original black one from 2007.

Recon Ironhide all the way. Armed to the teeth and a great head sculpt. My original 07 IH is a close second, w/ his Reprolabels-enchanced looks.

I've become very attached to my ROTF deluxe. I have the recon and off-road and love them but the deluxe has some features I really like. His head isn't way back, he doesn't have that automorph feature (or whatever that's called) on his inner legs, messing up his poses. He looks beefy. Of course, he's not in scale to anything you were looking at and yes, he has blue legs & hands (deal with it). He also comes with that little tripod thing from the game, which helpfully attaches to his arm so you don't lose it. His only downside, IMO, is his feet remind me of some kind of lizard or bird, the toes are too long.

Well...I was going to ask this week if it would be a good idea to get the '07 Ironhide and I got my answer. If only some place had him for an affordable price. I'll probably get the ROTF first anyway, with the weapons and all. Of course I thought I got a good deal a few weeks back on the Recon version and he turned out to be a pile of rubbish. He started falling apart as soon as I unpackaged him. Side mirror had to be glued on...the vent on the side of the hood had to be glued on...now the piece that holds the hinge in place for the lower body has split and the lower body keeps dangling because on side of the hinge keeps opening. Uggh...
So I have no favorite right now. I have the deluxe but...he's a bit small.

I would never fight about someone having 6 movie Ironhides. I think it's great. I would say the 07 Premium is my absolute favorite, follwed by the 07 standard release. Then Recon IH. Then the 07 Offroad IH. Then RoTF. I could have picked up the Fury of Bonecrusher, but I hated the way Bonecrusher looked-If that particular IH was not part of a set and was sold as a stand alone figure, I would have bought it without even thinking twice about it.
