That's a nice excuse to put my First Edition Prime Vehicon in my Classics line-up, just like FE BulkheadIs the Cyberverse Insecticon Hardshell supposed to be any particular Insecticon, or just a troop builder?

He's in a comic-original body that appears to be a unique design.Wolfman Jake wrote:Has IDW-G1 Cliffjumper popped up yet with his FE Prime body as featured with his Generations 2012 Asian market/Toys "r" Us exclusive figure? I like putting that Cliffjumper together with the new Thrilling 30 Bumblebee deluxe. It makes a psychologically pleasing parallel to have both Cliffjumper and Bumblebee in upgraded "sportscar" altmodes.

Though, a lot of those aren't "repurposes" since they already represent G1 characters.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.
That's what it says, so what's the problem?Dead Metal wrote:Not entirely accurate, Generations Ratbat was modeled after Ratbat in Megatron Origins.
I fail to see the conflict since the info on the list is correct in saying that the Universe Dropshot toy design was used for somebody in the comics.Dead Metal wrote:All Hail Megatron retconed what was supposed to be Classics Dropshot into a new character by the same name, since that Universe already had a Dropshot that who was dead at that point.
At the time those comics were written, that was MP Seeker mold that existed. They just took the design and colored it like those two. So what if a newer, slightly different in appearance version came out later? The comic design for these two is still intended to be Masterpiece bodies, regardless of which specific mold design was drawn.Dead Metal wrote:Masterpiece Acid Storm won't work since in the comics he uses the original Kibblescream mold while the toy uses the much better remold. Same goes for Sunstorm.
Again, I fail to see the conflict of the comics using this particular toy design within their pages.Dead Metal wrote:Tf 2010 Lugnut was always a Classics G1 version, as evidenced by the pack in comic for the Cyclonus vs Rodimus 2-Pack.
And thus, that is why I wrote what I wrote after I quoted Jalaguy's list.Dead Metal wrote:I would also not count any of the toys that are based on the idw incarnations, since the Op specifically asked for toys that have been re-purposed from other lines.

Well, while IDW Sky-Byte is in a body that is based on RiD Sky-Byte, it's more a basic homage rather than a design lifted wholesale from RiD Sky-Byte. For one, his torso turns into his shark mode's head, which RiD Sky-Byte's torso did not do.mooncake623 wrote:How about RID (Car robots) Predacon Sky-Byte? or Botcon 2010 Sky-Byte for IDW Sky-Byte I think he appeared in Robots in Disguise
Does this work according to the rules?

No. The resemblance between IDW Sky-Byte and BotCon Sky-Byte is even less than with IDW and RiD Sky-Bytes.mooncake623 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Well, while IDW Sky-Byte is in a body that is based on RiD Sky-Byte, it's more a basic homage rather than a design lifted wholesale from RiD Sky-Byte. so you wouldn't use him to be displayed in your IDW shelf? Does 2010 botcon Sky-Byte work better? hmmm..
