Forum member s250 shows us another iGear update, this time around it's a much anticipated City Commander upgrade set, the TF-001 Wreckers Leader Upgrade. The set comes with a big hammer that can become two smaller hammers, a flag, a sword, a bazooka, a re-sculpted head and some missiles! Check it out in the pictures below.

$58.99, good lawd, that's a lot of money. I was interested until I saw the price, yikes.
It's a nice set and I like the single missle launchers and the black gun better than the FP upgrade set. The sword and hammer(s)are nice too, but a little too much for me.

You know what bugs me? More than one company tried to do a better head for this 3rd party upgrade, and yet all failed, lol. Maybe the first head was already as good as it can get 
. I guess Magnus is doomed to his former head mold.
I don't even have any interest on any of these, I don't collect Classics, but I had to say something

You know what? This is a pretty nice set! They have used some unique clear plastics here and the detail is very nice. It does seem as if this set does not match up to the look of fansprojects style of City Commander. The Head, Hammer, and Flag look great! The rest is decent. I wouldn't mind seeing I-gear do there own take on a slimmed down Wrecker Leader upgrade Armour set to compliment there new upgrade set. Now that would be an upgrade of an upgrade! The price is a bit much, but then again how many of these sets will be produced and how many people are projected to actualy buy this.

Hmm, it looks decent, but I agree the aesthetics don't quite match up, and it's way too expensive. I'll take FP's own add-on, please.

I'm just not feelin' this set. I think the original CC head was perfectly fine. I like the missles and the gun, but I again I feel the $12.00 add-on set from FP looks better. The rest of the stuff I could care less about. What's the deal with the hammer? I know TFA Magnus has a hammer, but is there some other reason for him to have a giant hammer? Is it something from the Wreckers storyline? Anyway, this is a big pass for me.

the size of the head ain't really much of an issue per se(see the old Studio Ox pics in the Transformers Visual Work Mag)but that the paint apps look out of place.......and yeah, the face design kind off turns me off with the lip puckering.......

I like the G1 style missiles, and giving him a hammer similar to his Animated counterpart is a neat idea...
But the rest is excessive, and the set costs too much overall for how much of it I would actually want to use.
Gonna just get FP's own set for way cheaper and call it good enough.

The head is ugly. The add-on to me is an attempt to piggy bank off FP's success in making the best looking Ultra Magnus armor ever. FP was not going to make the head exactly like the G1 counterpart because if they did, then they might have gotten sued.
Of course, my opinion is this add-on should have just been the gun and the missiles. If they had released just those parts about 6 months ago, and I guess the flag, then they could have sold it for $12 and made a killing.
FP has a better product, and they seem to care about the people who buy their product.

Good concept but the price is what is holding me back from considering adding it to my collection. Also I would have thought that a better presented head would have been used for the promo photos. You can still see the flash. Also, the head itself doesn't look like a very sharp mold. When you compare it to the vastly superior CC head mold, not in terms of aesthetics but production quality, it just falls short.
Added to the fact that iGear has been slow to release products, the failure to deliver an exceptional product is not doing anything to make me think any better of this company, which has been mostly talk so far.
