Thanks to a War For Cybertron preview by the folks over at AusGamers, an Australian Games Community, we get to know a little bit more about the game. Not only that, but certain Voice Actors have also been revealed. While we knew that revered voice actor Peter Cullen would be voicing Optimus, his nemesis Megatron will be voiced by James Remar. Starscream will be voiced by Doug Parker, who is familiar with Transformers as he's been the voice for Beast Wars Terrorsaur and Armada/Energon Tidal Wave/Mirage. Lastly a character familiar to those who have followed IDW's Transformers Comics - Optimus's predecessor Zeta Prime will be voiced by the legendary Leonard Nimoy. Zeta Prime is Galvatron?!? Does he come before Sentinel Prime, or between him and Op?

The Starscreams in the Unicron Trilogy and Animated were OK, but it's a nice change of pace to have Doug voicing him again...for the first time in over a decade? Slag, I feel old.

I'm more excited about Doug Parker than Leonard Nimoy. I thought He did a great job as Starscream in Possession. "Allow me to present myself: Air Commander Starscream of the Decepticon Battle Fleet!!!" Epic Win! Spock? Whatever.

Starscream should be awesome, also glad about Nemoy but who the frak is James Remar? Why does every one feel its mandatory to bring back Cullen for prime but not keep one of the established (and good) voice actors for Megatron? If i have to listen to a crappy Megatron through out the game im gonna be really pissed.

gary chalk wouldn't have made sense since this is a G1 universe Prime so Cullen was the only choice i think.

and isn't it funny....Frank Welker didnt get to be Megatron for the live action movies but they used him in the video games based on them. now here comes a G1 game and they dont even get him? lemme guess, if they ever make any sort of animated version of this game then he'll be back. lol

I'd say his character could live long and prosper, but since Zeta Prime kicks the bucket fairly early that's out of the question. :grin:

James Remar is a long time character actor. He was in the cult classic "The Warriors" dozen of TV shows including being the lead character's father on "Dexter" and he has done a ton of voice work in Justice League Unlimited, The Batman, Spectacular Spiderman, Batman: The Brave & The Bold, Ben 10, etc, etc

And for those of you who want Garry Chalk, you should know, he said he doesn't want to do it anymore. (TFs that is.) Plus, when he fell on the ice and injured himself, he did so to a rather great extent. The man was hurt badly. That's why you haven't, and probably never will see Chalk again, in TFs.

Oh and the comment about Nimoy doing this when Bay didn't take him, has absolutely nothing to do with this article. This is a Hasbro/Activision production. Bay has absolutely nothing to do with it. Not one thing.

James Remar is awesome. He's an underrated actor and got a bad-ass voice. I hope he pulls off Megatron.

i have to admit.

i REALLY hate the name "zeta prime". it just sounds awfull to me and i really wish they went with sentinel BUT lenord impressed the HELL out of me doing galvatron way back when so at least i know the bloke has what it takes to bring some sense of gravitas to the role.

i cant see him doing the "oozing contempt" he did for galvatron so itll be interesting to see how he portrays it.

should be fun !
