It seems as if the long awaited Device Label Broadcast (Blaster) figure may be even more "long awaited" than originally thought. Thought to be scheduled for a May release in Japan, there is no mention of the figure at all on the Takara-Tomy May release schedule. On the other hand, Device Label Cheetus (or Cheetor as most would prefer) has been officially confirmed for May. Transformers Animated fans will have some goodies coming their way as well, in the form of Blackout and the Dinobots (Grimlock, Swoop and Snarl) all of which are also confirmed for May release.

It reappeared again in some Japanese magazines recently. I'm guessing Tomy is trying to space their releases with the whole 2010 campaign going on.

i just cancelled my pre order from BBTS about 2 weeks ago with SDCC Blaster coming i would rather have that and it will cost less. Plus i was not real happy with him being an all black computer. All i can say is what little enthusiasm i had left when he was first announced like 5 years ago is all but existent. All this delay cancel not delayed and canceled is just bad business and he is not that good. The soundwave was so right and blaster feels like takara was grasping at straws. they should have made him desk top speakers with a retractable cord that would been great and make a lot more sense.

I haven't placed any pre-orders for this so I'm pretty neutral. However, after a while you either need to release a figure or not. We've seen way too many pics of him for the figure not to be pretty close to release so these continued delays baffle me.

I am actually a bit relieved. This figure does not look that great, but I know if I pass on him the completist within me will regret it and I will end up paying more later. There are a lot of great TFs this month and my wallet is running a bit empty.

Recently we have reported that possibility of Device Label Broadcast may be delayed again(http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... ain/18467/), now we have confirmation that it will not release in the month of May 2010.

From the Japanese store - Bic Camera website, the Device Label Broadcast has been pushed back, the new release date is end of July 2010.
Will this be the month that we will finally see Broadcast hit the mass market? Or we expect yet another delay?

I like this figure so I don't appreciate the delays. On the other hand, I'm glad it's not being released at the same time as the Alternity Seekers and Animated Wave 3. There'll be enough on my plate then.

I feel your pain. I recently put in a few pre-orders at TFSource and the Club, now my wallet is near empty. Time for the wallet to restock- I was planning on passing up on the Device Label TFs anyways.

Thats what happens when you try to make a piece of high tech electronic equpiment actually work and transform into a robot...Technical difficulties. Probally the thing cant even pass quality tests. They should have scrapped the PC hardware theme and just gone retro with a real 1980's boombox. Who wouldnt want a boombox to remember the good old Run DMC days, break dancing and all that good stuff ??? Who cares about a giant USB port ??? My USB port costs $9.95 and is the size of a golf ball. No more geeky 2 in 1 gadgets...LOL
