Takara version is not that much better. For 3 times the price you get a painted grill, tail lights, autobot sign, rims and back window. I am not sure the white is any different because the one in the picture has yellowed a little. My Jazz is much whiter than that. Hasbro wins this one here in the U.S.A.

Now that Jazz is smoking! the color apps are way better than the harbro ones. Too bad they cost so much, that and I already have a Hasbro one on the way This looks great though. Now that I've seen the recent pics of this guy and Tak. Drift too, I never really noticed how off white our versions are. kinda weird.

Ours are not that off white. The Hasbro Jazz in the pic and Drift in the other thread have yellowed. MY Drift and Jazz are just as white as the new Takara ones in the pic.

United looks much better, but still not nearly enough to justify the higher price. Although the United version has the taillights and rear window painted, is a better white, and has partially chromed silver instead of grey for the feet and torso area, there is still one thing that should be different: The stripes. Both versions have the simple blue stripes with a red stripe down the center, which is inaccurate to actual Martini Racing cars and therefore to the original Jazz toy. Hopefully Reprolabels will make better stripes, as well as stickers for the taillights, rear windows, and some sponsors.

I wouldnt be using the domestic RTS price $10 as an average, cause im sure after the christmas mayhem the price can and will go up and depending on location and dept stores? Like for example the Kohls dept stores Transformers on average are about $14.00, unless you go to walmart or Target then prices will be about $12 to $13 but again depends where you live and what your tax rate is and besides, if you really want a Takara im sure theres other small vendors out there thats not raping the collectors like BBTS and TFsource is, all you have to do is research and google is your best friend. Trust me, i found some vendors that treats me really good and because i buy from them and not the big guys.

My point was that you can either go the cheap, more available way with less detailing, or the slightly more detailed, "perfect" way and pay through the nose with a good chance of missing out. To me the extra detail isn't worth the extra $20 or more.

The white doesn't look bad on the RTS version until you compare it side by side with the United version. The painted rims look excellent though.

I still can't get over the difference! The completely white plastic makes all the other colours 'pop' nicely, and the autobot symbol on the chest/ hood really gives it a sense of completion. I love that Takara painted the midsection in metallic silver as well. Very nice homage to the original Jazz! This figure is easily going to be the gem of my Classics collection!

This is a massive improvement over the RTS Jazz and I may pick it up unless Reprolabels release something. Well atleast the white is nicer on this one

TakaraTomy has shied away from the Japanese names ever since the Movie and Animated lines. So no more Convoys.

Call him what ever you want he is Jazz to me he looks awesome how come Hasblow couldn't paint the rear off the car.
