Ditto! I've learnt the hard way that while we can get excited over new figures that come out, there will ALWAYS be another version. You can bet that if the base is exactly the same, the paintjob will be as well. Of course, there's no guarantee it'll always be an improvement. Some like the TFTM Deluxe Brawl and Bonecrusher make me very glad I got the original colours.

I wonder who decides on repaint colours? Over the years I've seen godawful repaints that makes me think the decision-maker should be shot.

It occurs to me that an Optimus Prime is conspicuously missing from Takara's Movie Masterpiece line-up.

Yeah, I really think they broke the mould on that one, and was really looking forward to seeing what advances they'd bring to the DOTM line. Especially after I saw the engineering that went into Leader Sentinel Prime. Was really hoping that DOTM would have oustanding leader Prime and Megatron. I'm not impressed with what I've seen of Ultimate.

But yup, ROTF Prime is going to be hard to beat!

I knew this was a Japanese Leader version, I should have been more clearer. I'll be getting Hasbro's Voyager version. That will be enough. This is way too much for a not very impressive figure.

Great point ! After the amazing paint-apps on Buster Prime, it's Takara's duty to release version of the Leader Jetwing OP at the same quality-level.

I really want this but I already have ROTF prime, I wish I was a customizer or knew a customizer so he can customize my other one if I get this, I was really hoping for the buster prime paint job and I was hoping they would find a way to make a removable face plate

I do like this, but I honestly think I prefer the original Buster Prime with the chrome and white highlights around the flames. I think I even prefer his combined form with Jetfire.

Actually people... I know the gas tanks are separated, but they don't look like they can transform, they don't have any lines on them... besides, the back image doesn't mention them either...and what troubles me the most is the fact that, shiny paint job aside, he has that red in his toes again!!! I don't think that's Buster Prime...I think it's ROTF Prime Remolded, an that the gas tanks are removable so that you can attach the jetpack, not for turning into a gun...

Actoys has posted new in package images of the upcoming Transformers Dark Of The Moon Leader Class Jetwing Optimus Prime.

This figure is exclusive to Takara Tomy, and the base figure is ROTF Buster Optimus Prime without the shinny silver paint job. This is confirmed from the 2 gas tanks that able to transform to hand gun are present in this figure.






The figure is expected to hit Japanese retails at the end of July 2011.

This fig is a must-have for me. Sure he doesn't come with a trailer, but he's got a super-awesome screen-accurate weapons package [looks like the one from the teaser at least].

Bought on sight. Thank goodness for a friendly neighborhood hobby store that happens to carry Japanese imports.
