I can't help but feel that if this had been design in the same light as the first editions it would be considerably higher quality. Something about this just screams "cheap kids toy" like all the other RID figs and I don't mean that in a good way.

Regardless. I'm boycotting Hasbro toys until they give us the first editions.

I will note that there are a few cases where the RID figures look slightly better than the FE figs. This Arcee looks better (from a distance anyway) and the Vehicon had no kibble like the FE, though judging by it's Japanese name it's actually meant to be a bike instead of a redo of the FE. Or was that already established?

I can overlook the cheats, because let's face it, these designs are ridiculously complex, Ratchet's among the worst. Plus F.E cheated, so I can't blame PRID for following suit. I can blame PRID for everything else.

I think F.E. Bulkhead is the only one that isn't a cheat. Well, him and Arcee.

I love it. I love the design of the bot mode. I'm assuming the orange color is a trick of the lighting, but I actually wish it wasn't. I think this figure looks awesome in orange and white.

I've been rather pleased with the Prime molds so far-- I guess after more or less succeeding with making practical toys out of the complex movie designs, all other series should be much easier to engineer.

My only disappointment in Ratchet would have to be the faux chest plate, considering that his vehicle doors were supposed to end up on his chest. I was hoping they'd be able to pull that off.

Having weapon ports end up below his knees is interesting. I'd be tempted to plug his robo-scalpels THERE instead.

As for Arcee, if it turns out to a mold re-tool that's close to 50% new, I'd consider getting another to accompany the FE I already have. It's just a shame with the way she's capable of compressing her mass into her bike form, that the bike itself becomes out of scale with the robot form. Would have been nice to have bike sisters as compatible as the Junkions.

Why is everyone complaining lol ... He looks accurate in both modes (at least as best he could be as a deluxe) .. Sure he could use more paint but he looks fine IMO.

could just mean Walmart hasn't ordered any and is baring it's stores from doing so until further notice - ie: emptying the cluttered DOTM shelves.

I thought that might be a possibility, but I called a different store just now and she gave me the same thing as the first store, but this time she said "It's been discontinued, it seems. It's not on file because we'll no longer carry it. That's why we can't order it and it's not on file."

I was really looking forward to this figure and now after seeing him, I am going to wait out the Prime line.

Some bad design decisions are being made and I find no reason to get into these toys now until I see more of them.

I think I've finally had enough of settling for what we get. We have seen what can be done with these toys in both the Generations line and in Animated.

I have a feeling I'm going to be saying this a lot now, but you should know better Hasbro. You should know better by now.

I Like this though. I mean, it's overly obvious that the doors on his chest are fauxed, and he's really bland. This is why a voyager is needed. I do like him alot though.

I'd assume it actually is orange, because, well, he's orange and white in the show.

While some folks seem to be less fond of this figure, I really like it. Sure, I'd love to see a voyager version with a few more paint app details, but this version would look great amidst the other deluxes of my Classics shelf.

FE CJ has no cheats, unless you're counting the tiny grille details on his waist and horns both on his butt and his head. Bumblebee's not bad either though his lower torso/stomach area could be considered a cheat I suppose. Same with Starscream. They're just not as bad as Prime. But yeah, if all those are considered cheats then we just have to accept the cartoon designs are just way too complex to translate into toys.

This really looks underwhelming. I mean the robot looks too thin, and the remolded arcee down there, from what I can tell, looks like vehicon from the tiny picture. Cliff's arms are too long, and bumblebee I can't tell anything from the picture, but I digress. This ratchet looks too small, especially the vehicle. The only figure I am interested in from this line is soundwave, and maybe starscream depending on the remold.

It's not bad; but it's not great. I mean, compare this to Animated Ratchet, for instance.

There are a lot of notable deviations from the CGI model; but interestingly, I think what annoys me most is that the signature EKG striping is completely missing from this figure. And that would have been so easy to do.

I get the impression that "Vehicon" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue of a native Japanese speaker. FE Vehicon got listed as "Beacon" in places; now we see PRID listed as "Bikon".

I'm guessing it has nothing to do with bikes or signal flares or lighthouses.

Ratchet is a deffinate buy also I like the looks of the new Arcee I hope she is smaller and more in scale with the other Prime toys like Bulkhead
