I quite like this guy, though it's a little too bad he's not much like the Hot Shot of the Armada Trilogy

He's painted to look like Cybertron Hot Shot.

Ya, but other than the blue, and a bit of red here and there, he's not even all that similar to him. What I really meant though is Hot Shot's Armada look, which is probably how most remember him or feel is his most iconic look. Also, I'd be pretty surprised if one was to show this figure to someone and ask them who it's supposed to be and they actually answered Hot Shot. That's basically what I'm getting at. Though I suppose the character has changed his appearance quite a bit, so it would make sense that he would continually change.

why does Prime Hotshot have to be in anyway related to Armada Hotshot? Lord knows we've seen enough Transformers with familiar names over the years that have bore no resemblance, either physically or mentally to those who've held the names previously?

sorry, man. I'm actually happy for the repaints, as I don't want another BB, or Wheeljack or...umm...well, there's bound to be others...but some of those toys look quite cool, and I'm interested in picking them up to represent other characters or even just generics that I'll rename.

I...actually love this repaint! I think the head is too cute! hahaha. And I won't feel bad about not having a TFP Bee mold if I get just a repaint/remold at some point. Hoorah!

I really don't think we need an homage to anything Unicron Trilogy related. That, and Hotshot and BB are pretty much the exact same character

Haha of course they will do repaints/retools/remolds..

But what I would do is to get the best out of whatever repeats of the molds are, for me I will pick this over the BB one as I have the FE one and that is sufficient for me.

If you did/can get your hands on a FE BB, this is a fine purchase alongside of it, with the new head and few differences in the mold if can hold up as its own character I think.

Funnily, without a first edition or show model weighing it down, the mold doesn't look so bad in these colors. Except for the behind the head panel, that always sucks.

Maybe Bumblebee gets an 'upgrade'.

Anyway, I'm kinda meh on this. While I appreciate that it's remolded, it still looks a lot like Bumblebee. I wish the legs looked different or something. But since I have FE Bee I might consider picking this guy up on sale if the final toy looks good, but so far I'm not all that interested.

Another Bumblebee repaint. Meh. While the headscuplt is very nice looking, this is one figure I'll be passing on. I've never been a fan of Hotshot. He just seems like Hasbro tried to mangle Hot Rod and Bumblebee into one character.
