lack of field of vision is less important when you've half a dozen buddies who become jets who can swarm around your back and shoulders, and when you're so big that no-one can really sneak up behind you. Devastator never really struck me as the sort to do twirling moves anyway. Tunnel-vision probably suits him, and his commander, quite well.

that said...he does have some mighty big shoulders, maybe a 3rd party will develop a set of pouches to be added on to him for full Liefeld effect?

He has a visor, how's about some X-Ray visions? Or you could just say that because he's made up of six bots he has heightened senses.

I don't think the bulk of his shoulders is really any worse than the original though. But he does have a small head, which is the only other thing that bugs me about this.

Still, it's not as if the "not being able to see what's under or around you" issue isn't something a huge number of other transformers have, original Devastator toy included.

On an unrelated note: Can anyone who has Excavator tell me if the shovel will go over Giant's fist?

The yellow version looks good, but I think I'll go for the green release, depending on its price.

Hopefully we'll see a lot more about the green set (and preorders) once the yellow set C is released. I wonder in te green version will have a slightly different head-it wouldn't surprise me given the comments Encline made on the boards and his video review.

On an unrelated note: Can anyone who has Excavator tell me if the shovel will go over Giant's fist?

It can extend to reach his hand but the scoop doesn't fit over his fist as the scoop isn't as large as Giants fist.
