It was a very brief glimpse but he's in g1 purple with a cycloptic red
eye.

To be precise, at the end of Shockwave's video montage. Brief scene synopsis from what I recall: Starscream is being confronted by Arcee and Cliffjumper by the looks of it. Starscream turns away from the Autobots and says (if memory serves right) "... Say hello... To Shockwave." The camera then switches to Shockwave's head and zooms out, revealing his full body. The clip then fades and ends. Possible flashback leading into more (regarding Cliffjumper)?

Almost everyone including myself went nuts with cheering.

I doubt we'll see Corey Burton reprise the role. If I remember correctly, he said he didn't want to do it anymore, and this was around the time of DOTM. We thought David Warner was going to play him, because Burton had based Shockwave's voice off of him.
