After taking a good look at this figure I can tell that Generations Soundwave inspired the overal look of the figure, Universe Onslaught inspired the arms, and Armada Red Alert inspired the legs... Doesn't matte though because I will have a Soundblaster.

His monkey arms are too spindly and I think the deluxe looks better which I didn't like enough to purchase. Buzzaw couldn't possibly fly as his wings would act more like windbreaks.

Yeah, as many others have said, the first thing I noticed was Optimus' gun. xD It's gotta be a placeholder, I don't think they'd randomly give him G1 Prime's gun, lol.

And as for SW/SB themselves...I'm seriously torn! I want a G1 Soundwave, but...black repaint! Amazing black repaint!!

Advertised prices on the tags at Botcon said $15 for deluxes.

You sir clearly havent seen a real knock-off. A real knock-off looks 100 times worse than this guy looks. Trust me...In Asian region there's ALOT of knock-offs. And no I am not talking about 90% replica of a transformers kind of knock off. I am talking about knock-offs that looks 10-20% of a transformers kind. Trust me it looks horrible. Even if you have a billion dollars, you wouldnt even think of buying them. That's how horrible a REAL knock-off looks.

So yeah...Hate to offend a senior forumer but please dont use the word "Knock-off" lightly. I absolutely despise people who compare HasTak's product to those of knock-offs.

Wow this soundwave looks like such a knockoff, its just got those knock off colours, you know? and man, what crappy little knock off looking laserbeaks, those aren't casettes! WHAT ARE THEY?! THEY'RE NOT CASETTES must be knock offs. Well, atleast we have the blue colour original version, and not the knockoff black colour looking one,.

Why in the Black & Blue hell do they have G1 Primes gun? Also, that disk gimmick looks pretty lame, but I do like how it's spring loaded for the disks to pop out and transform.

I'm wondering if Soundblaster will be a store exclusive?

I'm eff'n dying to see who else is going to be in the Generations Voyager Class!

I remember a few years back (at least 2010-2011), there was some Q&A and one of the questions was were there going to be any Generations (or maybe that was Universe?) Voyagers, and the answer was that Hasbro's been talking about bringing in a Voyager Soundwave.... and a Voyager BW Rhinox. We got the Soundwave, does that mean the premonition of a Rhinox is about to come to fruition? =P~

I'm picturing it working basically like:

-You press the button(or get your Soundwave/blaster to)
-Chest opens, one disk pops out
-The button mechanism is spring-loaded, so it snaps back after one disk launches
-Other disks are prevented from launching, though the door manually closes

While I have no interest in a Voyager-sized Soundwave (got the Deluxe, other FoC Cons are going to be that size), I'm really liking the characterful toy gimmick he's got. Hope we'll see more stuff like that and less of stuff like MechTech.
...maybe I'll pick up the Soundblaster deco.

Don't suppose the "buttons/fangs" can point outwards? Or that the discs can store in the Deluxe?

If they can make Soundwave's minions into random disks, why couldn't they just keep them as cassette shaped things. It's not like their alternate mode means anything here.

Nice! I already have the deluxe but I like this one too for the gimmick and minions. Transparent wheels too! Now that's cool, and I hope it carries over into the final product. Makes sense to use it in this instance. Weird that he has Prime's gun, but whatever...
