Although the price is ridiculous part of me KNEW this would happen. However I'm certain when and if this thing hits the US it'll be more like $50 plus/minus. I would NEVER pay that much for something that small.

Yeah, no way in hell I'm getting it at that price. I expect it to drop to $120, but it's quite possible that it won't. I'll gladly wait for a Hasbro release.

Maybe they are trying to keep things in scale in regards to the alt. modes. The width of Sideswipes chest looks like its right compared to primes vehicle mode cab. Maybe by keeping Sideswipe smaller than Starscream, it'll look right when placed together in vehicle mode.

The scale makes sense and Takara had mentioend in an interview this past winter that they would be paid attention to scale in MP line going forward.

...Though I just realized that MP Hot Rod is bigger than MP Sideswipe.

If that's the case, MP Soundwave came out years ago. It was called WST Soundwave.

I'm liking the in scale, no mass shifting look they are going for. Starscream and the Seakers should tower over most of the Autobots/Decepticons if they have F15 alt modes.

Can't escape the mass shifting for megs, though. Unless you have little pip-squeeked high pitched megatron running around shooting up the place. And since his power is above them, he actually pushes them around. So he often hides in vents and waits for Starscream to go behind his back, then pops out and start chasing after SS benny hill style. I'm overstimulated....

To those who wanna know the size of MP-12, he's around RiD Megs size. I did a comparison with my MP-10 awhile ago. He's a Voyager class with the price of a Masterpiece...The world is seriously coming to an end~

PS : If the next MP is also Voyager size...I am losing any hope I have left for Takara >.>...

Someone said that the bot mode of every MP after -10 will be in scale. If the next MP is Soundwave, it probably won't be that small.

I honestly don't get why scale is such a bad thing. It's not like Sideswipe will cost as much as the other MPs...

Whoah! The price seems too much for a voyager figure, I hope this comes with a lot of accessories though..

$159.99 is pretty expensive for a Voyager.

I wouldn't say he's a Voyager. Probably somewhere in between a Voyager and a Leader. I can see where BBTS is coming up with its figures in price; seeing how it's foreign, probably more show-accurate, die-cast, etc. I agree the price is scandalous, but charging lower than $90 is a little bad for their business.

I've read it's been measured against MP-10 and it it comes out to 17 cm...so not quite 7 inches. Without the fig in front of me, I think that comes out to about Classics Prime size. If it's anywhere near $160, I won't be touching the Takara version.

I just looked at the pic of mp-12 next to mp-10 and he comes up to the silver stripe on primes rib section so I took some voyager figures and started to line them up and voyager dotm prime seems like the best fit
