Thanks to Zap2it we now have a description for the previously revealed episode of Transformers: Rescue Bots "Bumblebee to the Rescue". The episode is scheduled for July 7th, brief synopsis below:

Bumblebee pays the Rescue Bots a visit just in time to help investigate a mysterious meteor.

METEOR!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and uh hi Bumblebee.

This sounds exciting and it MAY help pinpoint how closely tied Prime and Rescue Bots are.
Now why would Bee be in Griffin Rock? One logical answer might be escorting Raf. It is exactly the kind place that would host a science competition/exhibition that Raf would like to be a part of.
I could see Raf rolling into base with Bee. Jumping out and declaring that he had won first prize in the state science quiz/competition/essay contest and he was going to compete in the nationals. And where are they being held? Oh some little town on the East Coast called Griffin Rock. Cue Optimus to raise one optic ridge in surprise.
Pure speculation of course. The producers might not want to tie them too closely at this point.
But I be Raf would get along real good with Cody and Frankie. .....

Oh snap! Just thought of something! While I'm not at all expecting this to happen, what if this meteor is related to the Dark Energon asteroid from the upcoming TF: Prime video game, which itself take place during season 2 of Prime?

Yeeessss, this is possible, most distinctly a possibility. However the description makes it sound like he just happened to be there when the meteor strikes. Granted both Prime and RB have shown themselves experts at diverting hints.

The official Transformers facebook page has posted a teaser image from tomorrow's new episode of Transformers: Rescue Bots, "The Gridden Rock Triangle". Be sure to tune into the Hub tomorrow at morning at 11:30am ET.

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha blades face is priceless and chase looking at him adds more comedy to it it looks beautiful that is if you think weird little kid robots look beautiful.

That picture immediately reminds me of finding Atlantis in Cybertron. It really can't be, but am I the only one who had this thought?

That aside, though, I'm really excited for the episode. Rescue Bots makes this little Prime hiatus nothing. RB fills the gap well.
