Do my eyes and ears deceive me?! Did Hasbro just release an Mp figure that's superior to the original Takara version?!!

Not exactly.

The Hasbro version is very nice and for the price is what most will choose.

The Takara version is actually more show accurate. G1 Prime really had a dark blue in the show. The colbolt blue on Hasbro prime seems to be the more modern take on his colors.

People are going to get mad at this comment but it's true. Just a matter of what matters to you in an MP figure.

I don't think there's a reason to get mad...
it's all about preference... I like the Hasbro version because I think that blue looks better, the price is good for what you get, and deep down inside we feel that good toys can still be produced by an American company (I know they're made in China) but you know what I mean...!

Nice review. However, you mis transformed both in Alt mode. There's a panel under both arms to cover the space between front wheel and the tank. A lot of ppl forget to unfold that panel.

I.... ....I do this too...in fact, I thought I had the issue kicked until you mentioned it, and sure as shoot, went to my MP-10 and forgot it again....

I think this is really common. Even Peaugh forgot that in his 1st MP10 video review, and we all know how detail oriented guy he is.
I've always enjoyed the 'Ahh' moment I've had on transformers when I realize something I did not notice before. And that makes me appreciate the figure even more.

OMG I just got mine this morning. I haven't had a chance to take him out of the package yet but he looks gorgeous. The red & blue look so much nicer in person than a lot of pics online. After finally having him in-hand I'm completely satisfied with my decision to wait for the Hasbro one.

Since most TRUs seem to have jacked the price from $99 up to $115.99, that 20% brings him just below 'regular' price. =\
