I think our friend, the Vehicon, is one of those special toys that gets to make the leap from 'impossible to find' to 'pegwarmer' as they are starting to become readily available both online and in stores and now come packaged 2 per case.
Time will tell. I'm still gonna order one at any rate.

I doubt it. It's a quality army builder so I doubt they'll wind up shelfwarmers.

What a great day. Got on compy, saw this headline, decided to check the rest of the RID line on HTS to see, confirmed order for Vehicon AND Dreadwing. And that completes my hunting until FOC Starscream and Grimlock drop. Woo! Now TRU just needs to ship my MP Optimus Pre-order
Edit-Forgot about Voyager FE Optimus. I'm not off the hook after all.

I might've been interested, but I've already got 5 of this guy, 2 Jets, and 1 FE... so I'm kinda Vehicon-ed out, even if it's a relatively small army.
On the other hand, if it does end up a pegwarmer and gets marked down, I might be tempted to buy 2 or 3 more; it really is a great, distinctive mold.

Agreed. This is one of the best deluxe figures they've made in a long time. Combine that with him being a troop builder, and I have a hard time seeing him ever shelfwarm.

Hopefully it'll still be there on Friday when I get paid. Probably not though.

I just noticed this in the Vehicon's description on HTS:
Includes converting KNOCK OUT action figure and snap-on battle spear.
That's odd.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I am that which is, which was, and is yet to come.
And you will know my name is MEGATRON when I lay my vengeance upon you!

Hasbro isn't known for accurately describing their own products. At all. Hasbro MP Optimus is mistransformed in official photos, and MP Thundercracker has features listed on the box that don't exist anymore, and those are just the most recent offenses. There's engineering, and there's marketing, and in the US, never the twain shall meet.
