It's really strange though that this Voyager class Optimus has two visible cannons on his body but he only uses one of them as a prosthetic arm replacement, a weapon, with grabbing claws

Well, i like the mold. He's not veryOptimus Primey though. I think the kiddyness everyone is seeing is that the vehicle mode does not try to replicate a realistic impression of a truck. His original form had many clean, thraight lines running about it.

And I'llbet this mold would have a few more followers were the grey plastic either painted or at least molded a darker color. Yay repaint potential!

Maybe its just that I came out of the MW thread, but anyone else seeing the weaponpods on the side of his vehicle mode trailerbox and seeing themissile pods sitting on Thunderclash's trailer?

I do like that the new missile launchers will plug into the ends of his arms. And there seems to be a lot of unused hinges on his "trailerette" i' wondring if one of them is for wings?

Oook. I just saw the missile-hand. That's just about a deal breaker for me, unless you can swap it out. Wughhhhhhh. One-handed Optimus... can't even PICK UP the Matrix.

But yeah, the figures are going more-and-more super hero look and proportions. It's like Superman and Doomsday profiles looking at Prime and Megs. Make mine bulky, square, mech-like robots with realistic vehicles. I want them to LOOK like robots, not pro-wrestlers in robot-tights.

For examples of my perfect look, I'm staring at the FansProject Swindle character and the upcoming Fallen tanks. Good, blocky, G1-but-improved style, clearly mech'ed out robots... and no "superhero figure" look.

Does anyone else see this thing with the superhero style?

I like the bulk, and it looks like the trailer turns into something other than just a short trailer thing.

MakeToys Mobine. Had to Google it. Sheesh, I can't keep up with 3rd party names.

That said, MakeToys nailed all the robot modes to their Devastator much better than the Hercules version, I thought. They're a great example of my dream aesthetic as well. Detailed, good proportion, huge nods to G1, posable, big blocky legs (and the foot tilt is always appreciated).

But yeah, keeping the conversation on track... This Prime looks fun, but definitely looks like the main toy line is swinging toward little kids instead of mature viewers. Odd, since the CGI Prime cartoon comes off a pretty mature... especially with people dying and all. I'm curious to see if it swings to being more kid-cartoon as well when the beasts show up. Kinda like all the daft Looney-Tune style gags in the 3rd season of Beast Wars. Groan.

Looks terrible to me. Looks like a Fisher Price toy. It's becoming increasingly clear that this line is being aimed at a young audience. I might get some of the actual BEAST figures, but I have no interest in cars with spikes everywhere and extra gimmicks and weapons.

So does Prime have no right hand, or is the claw-gun just slid on top of it? Either way, bit kiddish, but if that transparent green was blue, I'd be decent. At this point, though, Commander is 1000 times better.

I would just like to point out to those who are commenting on the cannon coming out of Prime's arm, he is actually just holding it, but his wrist is swiveled at an angle
I'm liking where they're going with this, but i think it needs work. Im hoping the grey sections form a wing pack for prime and/or a shield like his kreo version
Comparing commander Predaking with his voyager though, it is quite clear how much paint is missing from the larger figure...

QFT. I actually really like that this is a new mold and not just a spikey version of the PRiD Voyager Prime. However, the green is throwing me off a bit. I agree that if the green parts were blue (like the show) then this guy would be pretty awesome.

Who knows, maybe he'll have green on him when/if he gets upgraded in Season 3? I'm betting he does, but we'll see about the colors...

The cyberverse I dont really care about but they dont look too bad.

At first, I hated this mold so stinking much. But I sit here and look at it, turn away, look at it again. After awhile, it's starting to grow on me. Not as Optimus but someone else.

When the preview image of the cyberverse version popped up I thought it looked good and I thought the voyager would be crap just like the original. But looking at them now, really wanting the voyager, and glad there is no powerizer weapon. The cyberverse, still cool, but I'll probably pass. Voyager Prime however is a must buy for me.

Not digging these voyagers either. From the deluxes I figured Optimus might be the RiD mold with extra spikes but this has more in common with Generations FoC Prime and it's equally simple transformation.
Also, what's with that green? Does the story reintroduce that synthetic energon?

Predaking is growing on me with a transformation similar to Grimlock's but I'm still not convinced Beast Wars recycled limbs syndrome is a good look.

Why do people think that his hand was replaced with that cannon? Do they not see the back end of the missile clearly ABOVE his forearm? If that cannon had replaced his hand and forearm then you wouldn't see the back end of the missile as it would be in his arm. Not to mention that the placement of the launcher in altmode would never line up if it was part of his arm when you look at where the arms go in altmode. If it was connected it would be pointing out the back and if it did disconnect for altmode then it would leave the arms asymmetrical in altmode which is something you don't really see too often.

I'm also not getting why people are hating on the wheel kibble on his back, it kinda reminds me of the WFC Optimus which everyone seems to love.

Anyway, I really like the look of it. From these pictures it looks more like a large deluxe than a voyager but it could just be he's wide in bot mode and not especially tall looking. Or that he's just well proportioned and it gives the allusion of being smaller than it really is. I'll admit, the green windows and sword look a little strange but I'm not gonna cry about it as I think it gives it a better look overall by clashing with the red and blue. I also don't think it looks all that childish, at least not when put next to the cyberverse version anyway. Now that one really looks like the rescue bots Prime but still doesn't look too bad.

I don't know if I like that Predaking or not though. The robot itself with the wings looks ok but I don't like the dragon head kibble, or at least not how it's displayed in that picture. I also hope it's mistransformed in beast mode and that the dragon head can somehow go over the robot head. Well it doesn't really matter though as I don't have any commander class figures from this line anyway and the voyager Predaking looks amazing and there's still the larger version to look forward to.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Prime's wheels are mistransformed in robot mode. Still holding out hope that this can be cool. We'll soon see

I'm liking this Cyberverse Predaking better than the Voyager one. His gun is certainly nicer, and I like what they did with the beast head.

I'd like a nearly all purple-repaint of him too, looking at the beast mode.

The Primes, I'll pass on, but the Star Saber is pretty nice, if it was blue.

voyager prime alt mode looks good but the robot mode looks cheap, the commander class is just crap and predakings alt is crap but robot is good. Still sticking with legends, wait im sorry legion.
