Won't know that until we find out what kind of head connection this has. If it's a ball joint we should be good.

I'm considering doing it as well. Although, my only worry is that Takara's head is too big, or otherwise oddly proportioned. Or it doesn't transform right with the new head. In any case proving faulty, I'll hope Reprolabels does something about this head.

Going by these pics, and if the armor is removable, I may pick this one up so I can have a Smokescreen on my Prime shelf. If the armor can't be removed, its a No Deal moment.

im not sleeping until i see this bot out of box and no armor on.

So it seems that the main questions for this figure are:

1. Does the armor really come off?
2. Can the head be switched out for Takara's version?

I'm positive the answer to question #1 is yes; otherwise giving the armor a name and putting it on the back of the box's list of accessories doesn't make any sense. What I'm waiting on is an answer to question #2, which won't matter if Reprolabels fixes the problem.

All in all, I'm sold on this fella.

Ripclaw has a different symbol located on the chest. It looks more like a Unicorn, really. Maybe they denote different clans?

Lazerback and Twinstrike had the same symbol before it got changed on the final product. That was the prototype for the Predacon symbol earlier in the production.

I swear I saw the first symbol on the package in EmGo's review of Lazerback.

EDIT: I checked! It's also on the figure itself!




But back on topic, I might pick this one up. Still not sure.
I'm sure there's a reviewer out there who is getting ready to solve the armour issue for everyone. (Even though that's not my concern.)

Rampant speculation on my part, but if Screens' BH-Vehicle kibble ends up being removable, I wonder if he was intended as a PRID mold all along?

Makes a nice alternative to the AM one, cheaper too, however I await some out of package and even side-by-side comparison shots before I take the plunge...

If you meant the prototype, then where is it?
