Neither one works for me. I swear it's impossible for level 0s to get anywhere these days.

I actually switched to doing the missions just because of my lvl 0. Being a Decepticon, half the time I have no competition in the missions, so my lvl 0 picks up free xp

It is a grind, but if you are constantly outnumbered, use xrays and avoid to Destroy Wheelie as much as possible and you'll get to level 1 eventually.

My bots are great both on arena and missions but I prefer missions because they give me much more fun. I send my team on arena only when missions are empty (no enemy).
When I came back to HMW (it was few days ago) I was surprised that my ramers are that good on arena - OK its fun, for short time but on lvl4 you can only earn 2k xp...
And in missions there is something named 'team work' I remember my begining, how it was cool to win an outnumbered mission... It always stays the same
