Plus all great charicters, be they good or evil, have their signature huge-ass weapons! There's TFA Ultra Magnus with said hammer, G1 Prime has his trademark gun, Megs has the Fusion arm cannon, and Soundwave (he's sometimes seccond in command) has his tape legions.

Dude, he is cool. he is sure making up for the lack of blasters and guns in the show.
