Funny how that little fact has sailed over people's heads. I've seen someone else saying they might pick TC up "if they see him cheap." Hmm, methinks not, somehow.

There are loads of Henkei Thundercrackers on Yahoo Japan all going for about 4,000 yen ($40) each, minus shipping of course. I'd say that's as good a price as you're going to find now.

Seriously, counting Henkei as a separate release, that’d be the thirteenth and fourteenth use of that mold. The Classics seeker mold may be just about degraded beyond use here soon.

I think that’s the most repaints any single mold has gotten. We’ll be noticing problems when Universe Starscream comes out.

I don't buy that. How many times have the G1 seekers been issued and reissued and issued once again over the years? From the early Japan releases, Diaclone, to G1-wave1, G1-wave2, G2, E-hobby, Convention exclusives, Takara reissues, Hasbro reissues, and now Encore? We're looking at almost 30 years...

Besides, Sunstorm and "ghost/dead" starscream haven't been released yet

The casts will continue to be retooled just as they've always been. No, I think these "classic" molds have a lot of life in them, still.

I wonder if mold making has improved over the years. My Henkei Skywarp and Thundercracker don't have any flaws.

Hmm, I didn’t think of that, you may be onto something. Although I have heard reports of some having loose fitting cannons, which does sound like a sign mold wear, it is possible they’ve found techniques that help preserve the molds.

It also varies from figure to figure and is mostly a quality control thing, which is why some figures have floppy limbs and some don't even though the stiff ones may have been made after the floppy ones.

Same prob as with my Classics Ramjet, it's got nothing to do with the mold, just that the guy who put the parts together broke the shoulder.

Yeah, email Ryan. He operates Fan2Fan by himself so he may be backed logged with completing other orders. But I have found that whenever I email him, he responds.

HAHA! you know my Sister in law's sent the goods.

And it is a lot cheaper in canadian than I had actually expected. But that's always good. Lets just hope it gets over the border without any surprises, but even if there were "surprises" it should not affect the price too much.

The one that's being shipped is about 35 cdn each including shipping. So yeah, 40 is pretty good because they're getting about 10 dollars profit. Hey...did my SIL charge me shipping to her? I hope she didn't short herself.
