Too bad the Hasbro version doesn't have the same chrome. I want this figure, but I'll sacrifice the chrome for the conviniance of cash-and-carry at a local retailer.

Wow! For a character I don't really care about I'm suddenly much more enthused about this figure, even to the extent where I keep on looking at the pictures to see if they're as cool as I remember!

This might very well be the first Henkei version I go out of my way to find. I'm not a fan of Takara's chrome-itis, but it's not tacky this time. But the brighter colors and black crest win it out.
Though the 'H3LPU2' license plate on the Hasbro version amuses me.
Bets on them calling the blade a laser scalpel?

Amen to that! The Hasbro version looks like the paint apps were applied by my 2 year old. Ratchet is a favorite of mine and seeing him in G1 anime colors has me dang-near giddy. The last time I was this excited was seeing the City Commander set!

Never bought any Henkei toys, but thats about to change! after seeing Ratchet paint apps compared to Hasbro..its Henkei hands down a winner!! kinda like the chrome weapon too

either way you look at it, this Ratchet color scheme does a lot better justice to the mold than the crappy red that is used for ironhide. i was so down on this mold, but i'll get this one-i don't care which one, although i certainly prefer the henkei over the hasbro.

Maybe I'm getting cynical in my old age, but I'm gonna wait until I've seen photos of the released versions before I decide which one to buy.
