Your Target may have these still in the stockroom in they're not on the shelf. The 'find in store' feature on the website showed 'available' at both stores here, though neither have any on the shelf. I went up to the counter at one of the stores today and had them do a search and they were all in the stockroom.

Here's the dcpi# for both 2 packs: 087-06-0105

I can confirm this, as i said yesterday, I found nothing on the shelves. Then i came home and looked online and saw where it said available. Called today and the lady said they had about 20 or more but they were in the back. So, definitely worth it to check the 'find in store' and then call ahead or at least go with the DCPI in hand if you're having trouble catching this deal.

Definitely make sure to take your receipts with you if you already got either of these sets within the last two weeks! They'll do a price adjust for you without hassle.

Snagged the Sunstorm set today in addition to the Shockwave I already had -- I like him (especially for $5; not sure I'd be as kind for $25), but I can't for the life of me figure out the correct leg positions to get his jet mode right.

Anyone got any tips/click counts regarding that? I could also use help keeping his head from popping off... :oops:

did target kinda negate the $8.00 sale by making the sets $5 i went to 8 targets in stlouis area and they were all gone, but they had plenty of the $8 deluxes

I scanned sunstorm just to make sure it was $5 and it said there were none in the stockroom. Im sure ill be up that way again this week so ill stop in and try the DCPI# for the hell of it.

I got there too late yesterday. All the Shockwaves were gone. All that was left were Sunstorms.

10:1 a scalper got there that morning and but all the remaining stock of Shockwaves.

Fault Target for not putting a limit on these I only got
2 (1 to open up and 1 for a friend)and a mere 2 hours later when I went back to pick up a universe deluxe on clearence they were all gone and they had like 20 on the end cap.

When I walked to the toy section I saw an employee carrying Shockwave and Sunstorm from the back. I bought 2 of each at $5 and 5 deluxes at $8, then went to another Target and bought 1 more of each Shockwave and Sunstorm, 2 more deluxes and Leader Shadowsword Megatron. I spent $135 and on my receipts it said I saved $167. Cool.
I hadn't bought any Animated except the Megatron Vs Optimus with the DVD and Grimlock until now. I got Swoop, Snarl, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Blurr, Jazz, and Cybertron Optimus, in Deluxe. Leader Megatron, and the Vs packs of Shockwave and Bumblebee, and Sunstorm and Ratchet. Yeah me!

Just a heads up, the $4.99 shockwave and sunstorm two pack sales are over. They still show on the website for $4.99 though. I tried to buy today and they wouldn't honor the ad. I called the main office and they said they were getting complaints, but target.com is separate from target stores, so its not false advertisement (how convenient!), but that they were trying to get the website updated.

I went to my local Target Sunday and got one of each. There were about 20 of each figure. I went back Monday night but every single one was gone. I can't believe that they disappeared that quick.

I can't believe that many people came for those so quick.

between what has been posted about stores no honoring the price that should be good til Saturday, the issue on the website, stores keeping stock in the back and the fact how low the sale price is leads me to beleive that it is possible somebody hade a huge mistake.

I would not be surprised if the sale price was suppose to be $14.99 not $4.99, and that the tactics being seen are their attempt not to sell anymore than they have to for below cost.

(as nobody has PM'ed me, I'm hoping a scalper is selling them at the convention I'm headed to for cheap, or at the lease that Zellers will still be bring them in.)

I just picked Sunstorm up from one of my local targets, seems its no longer $5 but back up to $22. Total price was $24.51. All the other TF's seemed to still have the same sale price, so ya it looks like the exclusives are no longer $5.00.

When I told my mom why I wanted to go to Target she said there had to be something wrong with the system for it to be that cheap that fast. Anyway, I really like this toy, and as a way of saying good luck, may Shockwave be with you in your search for cheap toys:

Possible update:

Sunstorm is now missing on the Target website. And it looks like Shockwave is being pulled as well.

I'm glad I have a Discover. I'm also very thankful to seibertron News for telling me about it. I'm also glad it was Monday, my day off work so I could go to Target as soon as I saw the news. :grin:

I need a new target, they didn't have ANY of the exclusives and the pickings were pretty slim. I finally got Onslaught though and he's SWEEET, whatever you do don't pass him up.

I told my friend about the sale and he stopped by his local target today and the remaining sunstorm was back at normal price. He did bitch about it and the manager said that they couldnt do any thing because of the system. I also noticed that both sets were pulled from the website. This had to be a screw up. A new set going from $25 to $5 in less than 2 weeks? You know some ones getting fired. I just can believe how fast they sold. On friday the entire end cap was full and 1 day after the sale there was only one sunstorm left. I have the feeling that every scalper came out for these. I dont think that im going to open Sunstorm after all. It seems that these guys are rare now. I really wanted Shockwave too. Well i got the gray one at least. I would like to thank seibertron.com and the person/s who let us know about this deal. I just wish i got there sooner.

Yea, I figured the price was an error. Matter of fact, I said that earlier in the thread but my theory was shot down. Glad to know I was right!!! :grin:

I'm glad I picked up this figure too. I really wanted that purple Shockwave but refused to pay 25 bucks for a repaint.
