I do, I much prefer this design asthetic to that of animated.
Variety is the spice of life, right? Some people will prefer the TFA Arcee, others will prefer the G1 stylings like Mkall, and some like me will want both.sideswipe6520 wrote:I much prefer the "other" custom Arcee headmaster figure.

I remember seeing photos of that custom Arcee a while ago. It's so awesome. Did anything ever come of it?
That one has been available for a couple years now. I think there is two ways to get her. Unassembled and assembled. Not sure about the price, but I think I read $300 for unassembled and $600 for assembled. The design is pretty good. But I'm not sure about the actual casting jobs. As one thread on TFW2005 I saw of someone who bought the unassembled kit, they claimed parts didn't fit properly. They ended up resculpting most of the kit do to the problems of the casting.

Here's the quick run down on that A.R.C. figure.
1.) It was produced in small numbers, at high prices, by A Rabid Squirrel Productions. (Owned by Hal Zucati, Google him, or ask around the fandom.)
2.) It's a cheaply made, garbagy garage kit. (It's pure trash, the modifications needed to make it work are astounding. Some pieces (by capable 'bashers) had to be rebuilt from scratch.)
3.) Ever wonder why you never see many, if any on eBay? (A good portion of people never received their item. Others spent so much time and effort on fixing it up and putting it together, the resale of it wouldn't recoup their costs. And so on.)
If you're ever offered a chance at getting an A.R.C. figure...run.
EDIT:

Crap. Beaten to it.
As for Impossible Toys' version, 13CM roughly amounts to 5.1 inches in length. So she'll be between the height of a Scout and a Deluxe.
EDIT: Crap. Beaten to it, again.

If she's more expensive than IP's current offerings, she's not worth it. For example: Non-posable, "Homies"type rubber figurines a little smaller than a Scout, and a set of three of those...$60.00+ (The Animated Humans 3-Pack)
So Arcee, I'd imagine will be up there in price around HOS Prime. (The master figure/kit, the most expensive one.)
I have a feeling that after the initial hooplah wears off, BBTS will be up to their ears in these and they'll have to clearance them to get rid of the rest.
Don't get me wrong, this is an impressive offering, and IP (I hear) makes good stuff, but their prices are way too high for what they offer. Especially when you see fellow companies like them producing items of the same or better quality and the price is worth it.

Sorry, my bad. That's 5.2 inches. My math was a little off. I've fixed the story

Is it me or was everybody not paying attenion? There have to be people who know this....
Somebody already made an TF G1 Arcee toy prototype a few years ago (around 2004 I believe). No, it's not officially made by Hasbro, but whoever did the job made a damn good Arcee!
Copy this link and check this babe out! She looks way better than this prototype!

PS: I hope I don't make a fool out of myself now but we'll see.

One of the new images give us a clear look at her unpainted bot mode. The other image, of her alt mode, is the same or similar to the first one we saw recently when we first heard this was in the works.

Thats a famous custom among those that know of it. I think Impossible Toys used it as inspiration for their version. Even the custom has some what wide hips. I heard the designer of this custom works for Takara now.

lol, you can say that again about the birthin' hips.![]()
It looks promising, but I'm not sure unless they can do something about those hips. I bet if they could figure out some sort of joint that slides inwards to narrow that area a little it would look great. Let's see how it turns out, anyway.
i love big hips on my women

That's right! And it's a good indication that other curves are bigger as well.

I have been searching for the pics of that for close to 3 years now. I wish I knew the name of the site so I could way back machine it.

I believe you're talking about Don Figueroa.
He made a massive Fort Max, a few years back.

As for this incarnation, there was one posted in Rabid Squirrel's site (no not the headmaster POS) but made by another japanese designer...which was more kawaii looking, now that one will sure kick @ss! IP on the other hand, well let's wait and see (not too credible with their proto shots and the final product)
