Nintendo has announced they're delaying SSBB again. The game was originally supposed to be released back in December, but was delayed 'til Feb 1st because they wanted to improve and smooth out the online play. Now they're delaying it again. The reason? Reportedly because there's SO MANY characters the game needs more time. The new release date is March 9th.

This is starting to feel a little rediculas to me. The last game to be delayed this much was LoZ: Twilight Princess. While that was an awesome, and I have no doubt Brawl will be too, do we really need to keep delaying it? Why don't they just get it over with and let the game simmer 'til the next holiday season? And maybe they should spend less time on stickers and more on things I'll actually want in the game. The trophies I liked because the acted like 3D models with bios. And since it was a launch title, it showed what the characters I knew from last gen would look like in next gen. And the bios explained what was so cool about the other characters I didn't know. But stickers? WTF? Stickers aren't cool anymore. I'm not 4 years old. Even 4-year-olds don't think stickers are cool.

Eh, it's what Nintendo does. On the upside, usually when they delay stuff it's only to make it better. I mean hell, the last Nintendo game I'm aware of that even had any noticable glitches in it was Majora's Mask, & that was because they intentionally rushed the game.

It's fine with me. I've already got quite a few games lined up to finish, & a few new ones I haven't even really played yet....plus a new PS2...my 5th one, IIRC. I can never bring myself to keep one. Oh well, this time I intend to modify it to play Transformers Tatakai, so I'll probably hang onto it this time around.

So they're delaying it another month because they've added such a massive number of characters that they need to fine-tune it a little more?

If the trade-off is waiting a little longer so they can fine tune it and finish up a few more characters, then I'm not complaining. At this point, I doubt they'll delay it any more, maybe a couple of weeks at most. It's possible, but very unlikely.

I mean, the last time this happened, it was Twilight Princess, and that ended up being incredible. Before that...well, it was Daikatana, but that was only because John Romero was an arrogant douchebag. (I'd pay good money to see the look on both Romero's and John Carmack's faces when the Quake II Engine was released)

Yeah right. Although if they put Olimar in there, who knows at this point......although I was rather disturbed when I read this on Rangerboard...I had already given up my hopes in Novembernow I've given them up again.... :-(

I heard that the last 3rd party character is a Capcom character, but they didn't/won't say who. My bets are on Megaman, all of them. Seriously, they could use the same character but have different skins. Original, X, Legends, EXE, and whatever other Megamen there are.

Maybe Street Fighter? They could put in Ryu, then have Ken as a "Clone" character.

Phoenix Wright...I doubt he could be playable, but I can see him as an assist trophy, shouting "OBJECTION!" to negate the last major hit taken, "TAKE THAT!" to hit all enemies, and "HOLD IT!" to freeze them.

Figures they'd end up delaying it. All the more time for me to find a Wii.

Although, I'm still hoping for the new character to be:

Captain friggin' N. The greatest Nintendo mascot aside from mario.

I don't mind the delay either. I have plenty o' shyte to keep me occupied until then. Think I will finish up those last few stars in Mario Galaxy this weekend.

Indeed. Not only was it an awsome method of advertisement, but it even included some awsome TF voice actors, such as Gary Chalk (King Hippo), Frank Welker (Gameboy), & .....can't remember his name off the top of my head, but that guy that did the voice for Megaman (Terrorsaur).

Man, I just thought of something that would be an awsome item in the game....a powerglove. Though, I don't know if Mattel would let them use that.
