[First Gen]

Transformers @ The Moon has posted a new image to the Lucky Draw family. The new addition is that of the silver chromed Classics Universe Optimus Prime/ Convoy figure that we reported on here.

According to TF@TM, this figure could be a prototype Lucky Draw Figure that never saw an official release, noting that the mold is in fact that of Nemesis Prime, the same mold used for the golden chromed Lucky Draw Convoy figure.

Truly hoping this guy gets a wide release (perhaps at a higher price point, to offset the vacuum-metallizing). The coloring plays a double role... Not only is it a great 25th "silver" anniversary figure, but it allows them to recreate the Hate Plague Armor look for Optimus, that's something other than just "naked Magnus".

i think the only real difference between the Optimus and Nemesis prime molds are the autobot or decpticon symbols.

From what I can tell, there isn't any. Helped confirm Classics Optimus and Megatron were out back when I first bought Optimus, and from what I can see, Nemesis is just a repaint of that.

Theres no difference in prime and nemesis prime mold I think what he meant was underneath the chrome its nemesis prime (probably because they chromed a nemesis prime fig) check out the windows its the same color as nemesis primes windows.

Ties in with the window colour to confirm this is based on Nemesis?

WANT ONE! And I'm not a big fan of the universe style primes, I don't like the cab mode 'bubble' on top, but it looks nice chromed.

It was also noted on on both TF@TM and Tformers that this is UNOFFICIAL, and most likely now a "lunchtime special". Should probably make note of that so fans don't speculate a wide release of any type.

That's what I was wondering. Otherwise it would have to be added to TF Wiki's Luck Draw figures list.

I think your right here. There is that vague decepicon symbol on the left shoulder.

check out the windows its the same color as nemesis primes windows.

So? From what I can tell on the figures I own, the windows on Optimus and Nemesis are the same color too, they just look darker on Nemesis because of the black behind the windows. And looking at these pictures, I think there's black behind the windows on this figure too (further supporting the idea that this might just be Nemesis chromed over).
