I think I like the Hasbro dark coloring for Cyclonus. It makes him look a bit more menacing.

Yea me too but I really don't like how they broke all the purple on the Universe release by making parts that should be purple gray.
I'm going for the more uniform purple.

Though the Henkei is more G1 accurate, the Univere's dark purple is cooler for me.

Is it just me, or does the 2nd pic make it look like Universe Cyclonus' face is bigger than the Henkei Cyclonus? I dunno.....but Henkei Cyclonus is full of all sorts of epic win. Screw your Hasblow version any day.

This settles it for me; I'm buying them both. Each version of Cyclonus is different enough to warrant a purchase. Both look good in their own way. Kudos to Hasbro and Takara, both, on this one!

As for Countdown, they could paint this mold in caca-brown, and I'd still buy it (just like Vector Prime).

Hasbro's version is the one for me. The Henkei is just too bright and monotone.

It looks terrific if you're going for show accuracy and just have to have it, but I just find it too boring.

Side by side, the Universe version makes the Henkei release look absurd.

I love both those Cyclonuses. Like Universe and Henkei Ramjet, they look sufficiently different to pass as seperate characters.

Will definitely get them. With my G1 Cyclonus and oversized white KO, Cyclonus is going to have a platoon of his own.

Be nice if they repainted him in the yellow colour scheme from the Energon comics. Remember when Megatron transported Prime into the bowels of Unicron? There were these yellow 'Cyclonus' clones alongside Megatron's Energon body.

I thought I would like Henkei better myself, but since seeing the two side-by-side, I am inclined to agree with you. I think I will stick with the Hasbro version.

I don't like the henkei version. I think lavender is just too effeminate. And I disagree that henkei is more show accurate - he looks quite dark in the cartoon.

I think it's just the angle of the head, cos you can't really see the henkei version's eyes.

I thought I would pass Cyclonus, but the more i look at it the beeter it looks. Definetely agree that the Hasbro version is better than Henkei's, this time. As for Countdown, I loved this mold in Cybertron, it was one of my favorites, so I'll definetely get it.

Well not a bad color for a Hasbro version for the first time this one dosen't seem to bad, but i always bought the Henkei and the Henkei Cyclonus is more G1 so i will stick whit the Henkei.

I'd probably buy both types of cyclonus,1 hasbro version as the main cyclonus,and 2 henkei cyclonus's to make his armada.
As for Countdown I'll buy it...but call it Percepter.

I got em both 3 days ago and i removed the huge barrel on the universe nightstick and gave it to my henkei hotrod it looks just like his target master gun

I like the mold for some reason... paint it red like Starscream and I might get it. for some strange reason I could see this as Starscream.

yeah I was unsure which one I would end up liking better...But this seals it...Universe takes the win...Hasbro finally made an intelligent descision...The henkei one looks like he's ready for church on Easter Sunday...

This is rare but I like the darker colors of Hasbro's version better. I will get him but do some minor repaints. I think the grey parts is what make him look cheap.

It's not often I say this, but I think the Hasbro paint scheme on Cyclonus is superior to the Henkei version.
