If you took a break from watching your Dark Of The Moon or Darkness Rising DVD's, you might have caught a familiar song on last night's WWE Monday Night Raw. Stan Bush's "The Touch" was featured during a tribute to the John Laurinaitis Lifetime Achievement Award.

For those that didn't know, "The Touch" was one of the many great songs on the 1986 Transformers The Movie Soundtrack. If you did miss it don't worry, the video has been embedded below.

I don't see how this has anything to do with transformers aside the song itself. I mean, if they played it on some lousy sitcom, would you front page it? I mean, it's cool and all, but it doesn't really pertain to anything transformers related, because when you break it down, a song's a song. This song has been used before for things besides transformers. No disrespect, but unless the video itself has a transformers reference in it, it just doesn't make sense news-wise...

If this is something relevant to your intrests, you should check out Chikara Pro. They are an independent Pro wrestling federation based out of Philadelphia, PA. Basically it's lucha libre style pro wrestling with a nerdy twist. Each of their shows borrows inspiration from various comics and cartoons. Their most recent "King of Trios" event was even Transformers themed (ie, the event artwork mimicked the transformers style) and featured an appearance and concert by Stan Bush (who has also written songs for them before) on the second night.

I know this kinda sounds like an ad, but it really is good stuff, you should google it.

It's newsworthy. Stan reached out to the Seibertron.com News Team to let us know about this. He's been really good to us through the years. Sometimes it's about doing a favor for someone. Plus I think there are a lot of you who are Transformers fans AND wrestling fans so hopefully enough of you enjoy the connection. If you ever have the chance to meet Stan in person, you'll understand why we like to help him out so much here. He's a great guy and it is an honor to know him.

One song from a movie in '86 and every time Stan Bush and The Touch has a appearance and we've go to see it on Transformers sites. The song isn't even that good. It's always been my least favorite part of the '86 movie.

Oh, well, thanks for clairifying that it's helping him out by promoting him to people he knows! Makes a WHOLE lot more sense!
you know what? Stan should make a seibertron account! That way those blowhards over at TFW can stop bragging about how they have michael bay! That's one reason seibertron is my #1 choice. you guys arn't stuck up and condecending like alot of other sites.

There's a wrestling thread? Sorry I don't venture out of the Transformers related forums much. That might have been a better place to put this. Was kinda wrestling with where this should go.
