The folks over on the Planet Iacon facebook page have posted images of the upcoming Transformers Prime Cyberverse Commander Nightwatch Optimus Prime. The figures is a repaint/remold of the previously Cyberverse Commander Optimus Prime that comes with an open faceplate head and dual energon battleblades. Images mirrored below.

Um... I don't see much 'Night Watch' about this... Usually, the red would be replaced with a darkblue or something... If this 'Night Watch' Optimus was out trying to be stealthy, all the vehicons would fall over laughing...

The only way to tell is that Night Watch has grey legs instead of blue, and he has twin blades instead of blasters as weapons...

now they're even getting cheap with the repaints, dose hasbros laziness & cheapness know no bounds? thought they said they werent going to have 2 or more of the same mold on shelves anymore too, the wave one versions are still filling shelves and now this ones coming out.

It's still cool to see a mold with his face guard lowered. I will mix one of his swords with my wave 1 figure so each has a gun and a sword.

Maybe ‘Nightwatch’ refers to the fact his headlights are now on?
Though I have no idea why his shins are alight...

The blades and head sculpt are nice and Primes noggin has a natural tendency to pop off during transformation as it is so a swap wouldn’t be any trouble at all but it does seem quite expensive for what is effectively a mod.

When I heard about this release a while back and saw some blurry early photos I was prepared to pick this up despite already having Cyberverse Prime.

Now that I see the sad lack of paint apps in these clearer pics I think I'll rethink that plan. That plain gray plastic visually robs the figure of its vitality.

What, did the tiny bit of silver paint used on the first Cyberverse Prime put the whole company in deep financial hardship, Hasbro?
