A new Rakuten listing reveals an upcoming Toys"R"Us Japan exclusive Arms Micron Voyager Optims Prime with Micron Arms Battle Shield. The listing indicates the initial figure will be available August 12th for 4999 Yen with the three Arms Micron figures that comprise the shield to be released throughout the remainder of the month. The Microns appear to be AMW07, AMW08, and AMW09 in alternate colors. Tiny image mirrored below.

I don't have him, been eyeing the RiD and Arms Micron one (one has the sword, the other a blue Micron) and can't decide between the two. Adding the bonuses makes me wish I had a contact in Japan

Toys"R"Us Japan have posted additional images of their upcoming exclusive Arms Micron Battle Shield Optimus Prime. The figure is a redeco of AM-01 with repaints of the individual Arms Microns AMW07, AMW08, and AMW09 that form his shield. The figure will also feature a papercraft trailer. Priced at 4999 Yen and scheduled to go on sale August 12th. Images mirrored below.

They've posted an image of the figure in truck mode with the included papercraft trailer attached. The figure is a redeco of AM-01 with three additional Arms Microns that can combine into the Battle Shield.

If only OP's optics where yellow, I think the colors would be a perfect match for the shows version of Nemesis . . .
and I think the colors of the shield mircons make a more solid looking tool then the individual releases, so all in all I say this looks like a good buy for me

I think some of the Takara design team checked.

Actually, this set and the upcoming sword (SupermegaBlackHoleExtremeCalibur! or something that one's called) are specifically designed to form a larger accessory. The individual AM Microns that come with the Japanese Prime toys are advertised as combining, sometimes in officially named ways, other times in just random ways that vary in quality. These things tend to have a couple of Micron ports and pegs on them so combination is possible with most.

All new mold Arms Micron combine one way or another to form new (ridiculous) weapons. There are a couple "set" combinations however, by combining Microns of the same crystal color:

Star Saber
- O.P. (Optimus Prime)
- B.2 (Bumblebee)
- R.A. (Ratchet)

Galaxy Launcher
- C.L. (Cliffjumper)
- B.H. (Bulkhead)
- Arc (Arcee)

Dark Matter Calibur
- Gabu
- Bogu
- Dai

Cosmotector (aka the "Battle Shield")
- Pral
- Sais
- Jayz

Of course, you can combine them in other ways, tho the results are nothing to write home about IMO. Examples:
