I don't like how they only sell Prime Deluxes in full cases.

Yeah, that's bull****. If they're going to do that, they need to at least offer assortments with only one of each figure.

yeah why cant they sell them individual rather you would get stuck with an extra bumble bee
then try to sell the extra bumble bee in a market already flooded with bumble bees

Yeah. They really bone ya with this case nonsense. They know how lame some of the figures are and need to get rid of em somehow.
If they sold em individually then they would actually get a taste of what yellow cancer is like because their shelves would be overflowing with BB's that wouldn't be selling. Maybe then they'd get the picture.

The only ones i want out of that case are Airachnid AKA the worst transformer in recent history and DeadEnd. The rest would go right in the garbage or donated.

So with this case lot style of selling figures, Hasblow will NOT be getting 100 bucks plus shipping out of me anytime soon.

EDIT: i'd keep Soundwave too of course. Forgot about him in there.

Dear Hasbro,
Now, Hasbro....you know I like you, and friends tell each other things, right? Well, I'd love for you to sit down, because what I have to tell you isn't gonna be easy to hear, but I'd rather tell you and let you know now than risk fallout later.

You pack your cases of Transformer figures kind of randomly, Hasbro. For instance, Cliffjumper should no longer be packed in ANY wave. You could walk into ANY store that sells TF:Prime merchandise and find Cliffjumper. He's not hard to find. At. All. So...no more of a figure that died five minutes into the first episode of a show and isn't coming back.

The proper case assortment for Wave 4 SHOULD have been Airachnid (popular and anticipated character) x2, Dead End x2, Soundwave x1, The latest in a long and neverending line of repainted/retooled Bumblebees x1, and Vehicon x2.

Why Vehicon? well, you must have realized when you made the Vehicons as mass troops that more devoted fans of the show would build armies with them. This leaves none for those who just want the whole cast once over. Packing him?/them? one to a case for ONE round just isn't cutting it.

Now on to the big black and yellow elephant in the room, Hasbro. I realize Bumblebee is your cash cow. Kids love him, and you want to make as many Bumblebee variations as you can so kids will keep buying him, and you keep making money, but there is a point called "oversaturation", which means every household in America has at least three Bumblebee toys of various incarnations. This point was reached approximately three movies and one tv series ago. Packing Bumblebee one to a case should be your maximum from now on. Otherwise you risk the rage of not only the more, shall we say, enthusiastic fans of your show, but from parents everywhere who don't want to buy "one more d**n Bumblebee toy!"

The same might be said for Optimus Prime and Megatron. Yes, they are stars of the current TV show, but there are other figures, like Bulkhead, who could stand to be packed in more cases, so everyone can enjoy one. Mix it up a little more! If for no other reason than to mess with people.

Now, Hasbro, don't get all bent out of shape. I say this out of concern. I'd love for you to keep making Transformer toys, but Transformer toys that will sell, and that people will want. You could make more money that way! Thanks for listening. Buy you a shot of chilled Energon?

Hugs, Me.

P.S. Some more exclusives from Asia in the US as well wouldn't be a bad thing. Just sayin'.

The weird part is that surely Hasbro aren't bound by their own case rules for their own online store. Surely, SURELY they can do the most casual resale check online and see that Bumblebee is selling for $6 and Vehicon, if it was available, would be going for at least 200% retail price. Don't they like money? I can understand why they wouldn't want too many Vehicons on shelves, those of us who lived through the eighties and nineties recall how many Foot Ninjas and Putty Patrollers ended up shelfwarming. But online, where they whole world can buy them? They could sell them almost as fast as they could make them!

Surely they are. The cases come packed from Asia, don't they?

I bet Amazon has some interesting data. Is Hasbro asking about it? Well, they might if Amazon were moving as much of their product as Walmart and Target.

I'm pretty sure the case layouts are a function of what Hasbro thinks are going to sell at mass retail (i.e., Walmart and Target). HTS (and most everyone else) just has to make do with what that perception yields.

Of course, Walmart and Target pegs loaded with Bumblebee and nothing else suggest that Hasbro is Getting It Wrong.

Yes, but they control what Asia puts in the boxes. If they want a regular case sent to Target HQ and a case purely of not-bumblebee to themselves.

I don't know what the production time is on waves but given that they sometimes revise waves it suggests they have the power to make some late changes. And if not, why not? When there are walls of yellow it hurts them, it hurts retailers, it hurts their relationship with retailers, it hurts consumers, and it hurts their relationship with consumers.
