From "zeroeo" on HK-TF, we now have in-hand images of Cyberverse Commander Hardshell and Trailcutter! I mirrored the images below.

HK-TF brings us our first in-hand images of Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commander Class Trailcutter and Hardshell. Trailcutter (aka Trailbreaker) is retooled/repaint of the previously released Cyberverse Commander Ironhide. Hardshell on the other hand is a brand new mold and our first representation of the character in toy form. Check out the mirrored images below.

I think this is supposed to be a generic Insecticon, but since they had the rights to the name Hardshell, they decided to use it.

trailbreakers head sculpt is horrible, looks like they didnt even try. Hardshell looks good but i still refuse to pay $10 for a commander.

Are the Insecticons black? Or are they just such a dark green that you can't tell and Hasbro decided to use a lighter shade? It's kinda hard to tell in the show. But I would like a voyager even in those colors and a deluxe Trailbreaker.

i quite like hardshell. not sure on the colours, but i'll be surprised if there's not a purple and yellow repaint down the line. still might get him in the baby-poop green colour if he looks good on shelves...if i see him on shelves.

Wrong color isn't a big issue for me, and I'm sure a repaint could easily be in the future. I'm thinking this guy is actually going to be better then a voyager of it, if Cyberverse history is anything to go by.

Probably not. We haven't seen purple Vehicon & Jet Vehicon repaints. Instead, we keep our black Vehicons & Jet Vehicons.

Maybe not troop building as Prime Insecticons but they could certainly be used as Fall of Cybertron Insecticons menacing Jazz and Cliffjumper.

That said, I think I'll just get the one. It helps fill out my ranks of Decepticons; it doesn't need to be army built until I get more show accurate voyager scale figures.

Trailcutter is a pass. I don't even know where he's supposed to fit in the Prime continuity, and I don't need a retool. The Autobots have a decent lineup without another Commander clogging things up.

I don't know if it's the pictures or what, but does the Insecticon's alt mode look kind of off to anyone else? There's nothing obviously wrong with it, but the different parts just don't mesh with each other very well. Maybe it's just the colors, I don't know. His robot mode looks pretty awesome, though, so I'll probably buy one or two now and then buy a couple more if there's a repaint down the line.

As for Trailcutter, he looks pretty cool but I already have equal numbers of Autobots and Decepticons and the Autobots aren't receiving any more reinforcements unless it's something really spectacular. A few Insecticons and the Terrorcons will certainly help, but I want to make sure the Autobots look really out-numbered.

Thisi s typical of Hasbro. Remember the 2010 Insecticon based on the one from the ROTF movie? While the bug in the movie was mostly silver, Hasbro threw in some more colors to make the mold "pop" and look less drab.

This is likely a similar case with this Hardshell figure being dark green and gold instead of black and gray.

Am I the only one who's getting a "Kick-ass Waspinator" vibe from these green insecticons? Sure he doesn't turn into a wasp, but that's how I'm reacting to the color change.

I'm still going to grab it cause I think in scale terms, Kick-ass Waspinator will fit in nicely with my deluxes.
