The figure is part of their Super GT line and features the deco of a safety car. He will only be available to junior high age children who participate in the "Super GT Kids Walk". What is a Safety Car, anyway?

A Safety Car is a Pace Car. In cases of accidents and debris, it becomes used to have the other cars start at a set speed before it is safe to continue the race.

In all cases, I wonder if the Safety Car in GT-500 also contains medical supplies. I say that because there was a horrendous case that resulted in them adding medical and other features needed in one of their cars. I'll look it up if you like.

As for the item... You know my policies on owning a Convoy/Prime. So this is not one loss for me.

The previous Takara Prowl..the shiny one. He has the retool too.


But Safety Prime looks nice. I like the safety neon and deco.

Thanks. I partially blame Jelze for giving me the idea of just caving in. But after the fumble over what should be my 13th piece (BTW, that is "Masterpiece" Alert), adding him made sense. And his color scheme makes sense as it matches his Saber form more (with his battle helmet on). The only question for me now is if he and Maximus are "Cybertron" or "Autobot". Collection reasons, is all.

I like how they have GT-R Saber and GT-R Maximus side-by-side in the photo, El Duque. It is almost like they are telling me that I made a good call preordering them both for my collection.

Shame that unless I can find a means to obtaining more Henkei!/Gentei! pieces that I want, or TOMY reissue Ultra Magnus and the Headmasters, these will be the last two pieces I seriously buy for my permanent collection. But at the same time, it makes me glad because I am now officially hooked on Super GT racing. Oh, and I am also intrigued by his profile.

So guys... If my plans go through and I am in Japan by 2014, and they make this an annual tradition, I'll try to find an agency that "rents" out kids and get a few pieces for you to buy (semi-cheap) in the process.
