I remember being impressed by the Classics Optimus reissue that was in a TRU twin pack not just because they chromed his hips but because they replicated the shape of the G1 toy's stickers with Tampographs.
I also liked all the sponsor logos on Alternators Decepticharge.
Some of the nicest decorated Transformers thought are likely the Alternity Gt cars.
Sometimes it isn't huge complexity that impresses but simplicity that is what I hold such fondness for Nucleon Quest Super Convoy - I think he's really elegant looking (in a chunky way). he's not sporting the gold or teal or pink of many other "Black Optimus" toys but I've always thought he was dead pretty.
Darksyde WFC two Pack Optimus Prime / Nemesis Prime is a bit gorgeous too.

Cool gimmick, the vehicle is not too bad, and the transformation is brilliant, simple, and fun. Also, the bot mode is gorgeous. I had more fun with it than the Prime First Edition.
Seriously.
I still dont own the FE mold and probably never will due to prices (unless I find it at a thrift shop, which is very likely). Actually, speaking of thrift shops, that is where I got the Weaponizer mold in red. Not as cool as green, but it gave me a taste of the mold and I did have fun. I do think its a very fun toy with very good poseability and a fun gimmick. I love this review from BWTF which fully aknowledges how this is probably the best looking Prime toy in robot mode, if comparing to his look on the show:
I will say this for Weaponizer Optimus Prime in robot mode: he looks rather impressive. On the television show, Optimus was always shown as the tallest Autobot (if not the "bulkiest"). The Voyager Class figure is taller than say, a Deluxe figure, but it doesn't quite feel as imposing. This figure definitely conveys a sense of power. Optimus Prime's design relies on contrast, with his upper body being very wide, leading to a thinner waist section and hips that then lead to the lower legs which are thicker and get wider all the way to the feet. This gives him a very dynamic appearance and in this size scale, this image is even more striking. The only unfortunate aspect is that a lot of his truck mode winds up on his back, so he look like he has a huge back pack on (which well, he does). Fortunately the legs have ratchet joints and his feet are wide enough to support him standing with all that weight.
All the requisite details for Optimus are represented here. This includes his head design with the high central crest, extra horizontal line details on the sides of the "helmet" section, the complex series of lines that make up most of the torso to waist and the distinctive curved lines of his shoulder armor. He looks absolutely fantastic and oddly, I find myself liking the way the figure looks out of package much more than when I first saw him in box.
Optimus is cast in the requisite colors: red, blue, silver and gunmetal. The red is mostly on top of the figure, the gunmetal is in the middle and the legs alternate between silver and blue. Black plastic is used for the wheels on the sides of the legs. His chest "windows" are translucent blue. The color distribution looks good and true to the TV show. Paint applications are fairly simple, but again follow the CG model well. This includes silver, yellow and gunmetal grey. The silver is the most heavily used color. You'll find it on the head, chest and legs. The yellow is used for tiny details on the torso while the gunmetal is used to paint his knee armor. The color scheme here is very "clean" and there aren't a lot of small fiddly details painted in - which is appropriate given that this is how the CG model looks.
So yes, in some categories, he happens to be the best the line had to offer.

Quite ironic because when it came out, the general hate was pretty intense for this guy. Maybe because it was not a proper LEADER class figure and no Prime Leaders were never made. It was kinda scapegoating.
Relatively back on topic but still speaking weaponizers, the Bumblebee version is also awesome, despite the flaw that the panels don't tab very well in vehicle mode.
The Hasbro version is very bare in paint and feel very cheap. Still, it work for what it is. When Takara released a super expensive version, they made the vehicle all gold instead of plain yellow... Just the vehicle. Making the Takara Weaponized Bumblebee in bot mode VERY ugly and inconsistent. Sad.

I sold my W.BB for 10$ to a dad so he give a gift to his kid, but I did keep the Stealth Talking version. No weaponizer gimmicks but he got a new head and a speak chip. Very nice! That's one bot that (I think) Takara don't have.

After the discussion in the Transformers Legends thread and how I figured I wasn't considering Legends Weirdwolf over TR Wolfwire at all, I decided to have a look at my Wolfwire toy closer and decide - aside from, obviously, the face - there's anything on it's paintjob I'd change.
I couldn't come up with anything. No extra detail I feel needs painted in, no more paint needed in other areas, no badly applied apps, no area with too much paint... it's an incredible figure. In terms of articulation I'd like some more in the shoulders and wolf head, but just the paint? It's perfect. Hasbro really went to town on this guy.
Aside from the Titan Master. That robot mode really needs some added detail and while I know it's G1 accurate, Wolfwire's visor being almost impossible to differentiate from the rest of his face is really aggravating. Still, two minor quibbles of an amazingly painted toy - especially when I usually have him in wolf mode.
