Status: NEW!

The Transformers Movie sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, has taken a filming hiatus while the movie industry prepares for the possibility of a screen actors guild (SAG) strike, but now, thanks to info obtained by the Transformers Live Action Movie Blog, it looks like filming will be continuing (perhaps without SAG members) at the Edwards Air Force base in California this weekend, July 10th & 11th.

Similarly, another casting call has surfaced for extras to play Jordanian/Egyptian soldiers for filming in July.

TFW member Automaster adds a couple more interesting entries on to the earlier released list of future TRANSFORMERS ANIMATED toy products that were seen as computer code entries for upcoming Walmart product. In other words, here's a quick peak at what HASBRO should be telling us about, and showing us in the near future.

Previously, we had learned that Skywarp (Voyager), Wasp(inator)(Deluxe), Swindle (Deluxe), Blurr (Deluxe), and Wreck Gar (Voyager) were scheduled to see an eventual release in this toy line. Great news right?

According to Automaster newly added to this list are a DELUXE CLASS ARCEE-- described as a sleek car, and a VOYAGE CLASS SHOCKWAVE--no description. Better news? A G1 stylized Arcee toy? Will Shockwave turn into his Autobot spy form of Longarm?

HASBRO has not confirmed these entries yet, but we expect confirmation or at least for them to address it in the near future, possibly at the upcoming San Diego Comic Convention.

There is a niche for this. There's a collector for everything. Now it is time for fans of Optimus Prime's smaller scout form to rise up and be happy.

It seems that the team at TFClub cannot keep busy enough. Now it appears that they are advertising a new design for a Masterpiece Roller that actually transforms!

Check out the link to their website below where they have a banner add for this interesting, and often left out Autobot.

Slashfilm.com and the Transformers Live Action Movie Blog are reporting that Paramount has opted out of the San Diego Comic-Con (July 23rd-27th) and will not be promoting anything from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the upcoming sequel to the 2007 Transformers movie, scheduled for June 26th 2009.

The San Diego Comic Con has traditionally been the place where studios release teaser information or make surprise announcements (like the return of Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime for last year's film) about upcoming films.

So if you do not want to be spoiled, turn away now, and certainly do not click on the link below.

The rumored 'Sam in college classrooom' plot point courtesy of THEMOVIEBLOG.COM.

Besides the possible personality revelation this describes to us, it also appears that a couple of other mysteries may be solved thanks to this blog writing:

*Rainn Wilson appears to be playing one of Sam's college professors.

*The mystery red motorcycle reported earlier has been spotted with Shia/Sam as the rider. It is still unknown whether this bike is a Transformers character or not though.

As with all the rumors, we won't know until the movie comes out next year, what was true and what was false, so take every lightly, but feel free to discuss the ideas regardless!

The Cinema Expo International 2008 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands has set up a platform with the logo for the new Hummer H3, accompanied by the Autobot and Decepticon insignias above the Transformers Movie logo. This suggests that the new H3 will be making an appearance in the Transformers Movie sequel, though it is unknown what model of H3 will appear and if it will be as a new Transformer, a civilian vehicle, or an upgraded Ratchet, who was a modified H2 Hummer in the first film.

Seibertron.com member hotrod415 and the Transformers Live Action Movie Blog have alerted us to a massive amount of videos and photos from the filming of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on the Princeton campus in New Jersey.

Videos of a filmed stunt can be seen here.

Photos from the filming, along with potential plot spoilers, can be seen here.

And finally, we have some photos of a red motorbike spotted on the set. The bikes appears to be an Aprilia RS 50, which means that this is probably not one of reported RetroSBK custom bikes, built for the movie and used during filming in Bethlehem, where a leaked call sheet confirmed and eye witness reports confirmed the existence of several (potentially pink) "Arcee" motorcycles.

See the photos of the new bike spotted on set here.

It is unknown at this time what role this motorbike could play in the filming of the Transformers Movie sequel. Could it be a new Transformer, or simply a background vehicle? Stay tuned to Seibertron.com for more details.

There is no receipt proof as of yet, but we do know that Canada has had the Animated leader class Wave 1 for about a week, so it is quite likely these will start showing up in the US very soon.

Wave 1 Animated leader class consists of Bulkhead with Headmaster unit (and more), and Earth Mode Megatron!

Seibertron.com member SDL has let us know that Jalopnik.com has posted an article featuring some new photos of the Bumblebee concept Camaro (now the 2010 - or 2012 - Camaro Z28) as well as a clearer shot of the mystery silver car spotted on set here, sources tell Jalopnik.com that the vehicle is a new Corvette concept. The photo shows it being painted

:
Last time we saw it from afar, but now we've got the first close-up shot of what we're now told is a Corvette concept shot on the set of the new Transformers 2 movie, Revenge of the Fallen. The latest shot, posted to the Motown Muscle forum, comes with some degree of reliability given it comes with two new shots of the "Bumblebee" version of the 2010 Chevy Camaro Z28. That's right, our e-mail tipster, who also posted the shots on the forum, claims not only that this is a 2010 (or 2012) Corvette concept, but also that this isn't the "SS" Camaro, it's the Z28. Whether this mean we'd not only get a "Super Sport" package, but also a "special performance package" via a Z28 check box remains to be seen. But, we digress — if we're to believe the poster, both vehicles are getting some sort of paint treatment as part of work they're undergoing at the hands of Chip Foose. How the producers of the new Transformers 2 movie got Foose to step away from his work on "Foosical: The Musical" we'll never know. Hit the jump for the Camaro shots and some of our own speculation.

Megan Fox recently talked with MTV Movies about the sequel to last year's Transformers movie and about the struggles with the sequel's script, rushed due to the 6-month long WGA strikes and now facing re-writes during filming.

Read the entire article by clicking here.

:
When Michael Bay got behind the camera for his most recent film, he chronicled a lot more than just automobiles transforming into robots from outer space. Millions of fans also watched then 21-year-old Megan Fox transform from an obscure actress best remembered for a Lindsay Lohan movie into one of the most desired hotties on the planet.

Now, the "Transformers" star is back on the set with Michael Bay – and true to the director's favorite word, she says he's making an awesome sequel.

"As big as the first movie was, this is 10 times as big, 10 times as many set pieces, explosions, and acrobatic stunts," she told us about "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. "Shia and I make out a little bit; I don't know if anyone wants to see that."

Something tells us that Shia LeBeouf wants to see it.

Regardless, Megan insisted that the blossoming romance between Sam and Mikaela is only one of the many plotlines Bay will be juggling for the June 2009 flick. But according to the actress, some last-minute scrambling has been taking place to make sure their romance can hold its own among all those Autobot vs. Decepticon showdowns.

"You know, we've been having script meetings, and we've been reworking the script, because they wrote it fast because of the writer's strike," she explained. "And, we've just been going through and trying to do some character stuff for Shia and myself in the middle of this crazy world that they're in."

"I can tell you that we're on locations in some really exotic places," she added. "It's just going to be a badass movie. It's just going to be a popcorn-visual-spectacle, summer film."

As for Michael Bay's main directorial input to his lead actress, Megan had this to say: "His main note to me is just to look hot; so I try my best."

A reader who unknowingly walked onto the Philadelphia set of Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen has sent his set report to IESB.net.

:
I wanted to get back to you on Transformers 2 here. It's a story of being at the right place at the right time. My son had an overdue book that I needed to return to the library and the library we took it out from is located on the Ben Franklin Parkway, not too far from the Art Museum where Rocky Balboa ran. I turn the corner to the street where the library's located and I'm met with about half a dozen tractor trailers. I was like what's all this? Then I see spotlights and I'm like wait a minute. I look at the door on the truck and sure enough there's a "Property of Paramount Pictures" sticker real big on the door. I went into a Frenzy (no pun intended!).

I quickly see the crew are wearing orange tags with an Autobot symbol & the #2 right next to it. At this point I'm losing it all over the place. They're filming inside the library!! So I go in here the shooting hadn't started yet. They didn't re-arrange the library but they have the 2nd floor all draped off but they were still letting you up there. My family & go up there & There's lights and cables everywhere. So whatever was going to happen in this scene will take place on the 2nd floor of the Free Library of Philadelphia's main branch.

This was this afternoon. In the evening we went back to see if anything changed or if any of the cars were in place. By this point some filming was being done and picture taking was cut off. I was told one actress in a long blue gown went into the library. It was like a prom or wedding gown. It was only me and 2 other people at this point watching what was going on inside. I really couldn't see anything. But a really cool security guard struck up conversation w/us. He told us they weren't finishing the scene so I might go back on Monday. He also went on to tell us about a chase scene that was filmed the previous Friday right on East River Drive. He didn't know the names of the cars but by his description it was Ironhide, Bumblebee, and Prime in pursuit of some silver car. He said this silver car is nothing like what's out there now and didn't even know the make on it. He said it's really slick & looks way cool. But he said the chase scene is way cool especially for people who live in the city here. He said there's 3 wks left of filming in Philadelphia.

I did take pictures but I don't think they'd be anything you guys would be interested in. It was really all the trucks parked along Vine Street & the lights inside the library. Even though I didn't really get to see anything, this was so cool for me. I've been a fan for 20yrs now since Gen. 1 and it just blew me away. I plan to go on Monday.

Thanks
John
