Looking forward to seeing the Decepticons, still think this series has potential if it's done right.

'Bulkhead' (how do we even know that's his name) looks alot like Crumplezone...

Who's the motorbike? He looks kinda cool...

While I pretty much despise everything on that poster, Bumblebee looks... strangely cute. O.o;

I'm assuming the black and gold Bike is Prowl, and the big green dude taking up half the poster is Bulkhead. Interesting...

God damn it. Fire truck? Again? Save that smeg for Inferno. Did Ratchet and Armada Red Alert mate? Same for Stunticon Dead End and movie Bumblebee, it seems.

My failure sense is tingling. First the movie and now this... there's no stopping them!

Before I knew about this image, I saw a list of names in a topic on tfw2005 - I thought Bulkhead was pretty random too. Then about half an hour later, I saw this picture. The name Bulkhead isn't officially confirmed.

Looks like they're keeping the formula from th e new film :-?

Prowl strangely resembles a jazz-like character and bulk head resmembles an Ironhide-like character.

I don't like the desings, too childish imo, but i'll give it a chance  ...

I still wonder how the toys are gonna work :???:

What. The. Hell. Are they serious?

There's no reason for anyone to complain about the movie anymore.

So uh...yea.

Are these robots, or superheroes in robot suits...

I can't help but think this show is going to be aimed at the preschool generation. I mean, look at this stuff...

Also, I wonder how long it'll take to rename Bulkhead into Hound?

Well, I'll have to eat some of my earlier words when we saw that Prime pic. Prime looks way better here, especially his face. I like Prowl and Bumblebee, not too sure about Bulkhead and Ratchet. I really hope that's Bulkhead, because it if turns out to be Hound, I will be really sad. Hound is above such a brutish bot mode. And Ratchet is fat. Really really fat.

I'm just wondering how the toys will turn out. Not looking great, but I still don't want to trash this series till I see some actual animation going on.

from the looks of the alt modes the toys will probably look better than the cartoon. Don't know I'll catch an episode and wait to see what the toys will look like.

I'm not impressed and they really could have done better.

Wish they would just sell and market to two demographics, one for younger kids which would love this and then the teen group and have a bit more depth and edge without taking too much artistic lisence and just slapping established characters on radical new designs. If your going to make a new design we've never seen before make it a bot we've never seen before.

No it doesn't. That looks worlds better than the first picture we saw.

This could end up as an alright series for sure.

Granted that first promo pic was bad.

This? Not so much. Like anything else we'll have to wait and see.

Since that won't happen...I'm going to stand aside, shut up, and let the overall bitch-fest commence.

I loved those series, too, and Teen Titans. I'm expecting good things to come from this series. It is VERY stylized, but that could be good. It will be a nice contrast with the ultra-real movie versions. With quality animation, it will most likely be the story lines that make or break this series.

Well, it's an improvement. Bumblebee and Prowl look pretty good.

But don't worry, protomotional art from the Teen Titans guys is usually pretty $%@#ed up these days.

Well, I have to say that I've now given it TWO (count 'em 2!) chances to impress me, and both times have miserably failed.

Hell, even the Bay designs had some good points to them.

I'll say this: Bumblebee and the vehicle modes are adorable. Simply "OMG" gotta cuddle 'em all adorable.

Beyond that:

Prime *STILL* sucks, and now he's even worse...a fire truck, AGAIN?!

Bulkhead is...yeah, I can't even comment. (It would shatter my brain coming up with his sucktitude.)

Ratchet looks like an even toonier A/E/C hybrid.

Not sure who the motorcycle guy is, but he has potential, in both vehicle and robot modes.

I too agree that the toys will be better than animation models, but the show will reek (visually, can't speak for the storyline. Although Prime being young and climbing the ranks, plus each episode is a one shot...) but perhaps, we'll get lucky and they'll make excellent toys. (Although not much can top the movie guys)

Hm. The style of animation still bugs me.

These would look awesome as toys, though. Assuming they don't spin to transform, etc.

Not loving the "Teen Titan" look here. The animation models from the last couple Transformers series were NOT the problems with the shows. The WRITING was.

ok so they are not what the fanboys want but i reckon the are very FUN looking, now for all those griping about 'how can that transform' its quite possible now to visualise the TF of the bot to vehicle from this picture. Will kids like them???? I reckon that toys based on that look could be pretty cool. I love G1 and feel the best designs are the ex diaclone toys for pure ingenuity and simplicity but i still think these look more exciting than the movie ideas.

I'm still skeptical. This promo is worlds better than the first prime we saw. I can actually see some potential in those designs. We'll see how it looks in motion. The thing that really scares me is how they're describing the plot lines. It just doesn't seem to be in the TF spirit.
Re: Transformers Animated Series Promo Poster! (182945)
Posted by City Commander on June 25th, 2007 @ 2:14pm EDT
Ugh, Bulkhead's pulling a BM Rattrap. He has no legs, just wheelie-mabobs.

Why are they determined to make tfs look like crap? It looks like Teen Titans, right down to the logo. But machines shouldn't looke like that, especially if they can transform...

Such crap unknown. We basically get Cybertron Prime, Classics Bumblebee, Cybertron Ransack and two colourful lumps.

Why not just recolour them and remold them slightly, and make em into Defensor?

Well we now know what it would look like if a retarded monkey was responseable for creating the transformers. I wonder what the toys will look like oh god no I don't.
