A new
Ebay auction has shown up online featuring the soon to be released Transformers Animated Prowl figure. The figure offered is a pre-production sample that a retailer has received early. The figure is sealed, so we have our first look at what to expect as far as packaging for the Animated figure line.
Click
here to view and bid on the auction.
Update! The seller has responded and here is what the bio says according to her:
Prowl AUTOBOT Spy.
Prowl has spent his life studying the secrets of the ancient art of circuit-su.
Through its teachings,he has discovered the beauty of pure logic, and the invincibility of reason. All things even combat-are subject to reason.
If one is willing to calmly apply one's mental faculties to any problem, the solution will soon reveal itself. He often finds the chaotic antics of humans and other AUTOBOTS frustrating, but he will stop at nothing in their defense.
His galactic powers & abilities:
Master of circuit su.
Projects holograms for use as camouflage.
Can use any object as a weapon.
The traffic light is a swinging "chain" weapon!

thanks for sharing!
i really don't like this packaging. looks too cheap and kiddy (i know, its a toy, but still) i wish they went with the more "high-tech" look of the movie packages. im also not feeling the "back to the future" logo. but the toy looks good!

probably a trademark or copyright symbol if you are talking about the small symbol on the lower right-hand side.

Not the best looking figure I've ever seen.
Looks very similar to ransack.
Also looks like scout size but package says deluxe, but maybe that's not accurate since this is a Production sample.

Movie Packaging looks way better
Though That is incredible
Why?
Because the figure has Very little vehicle kibble but still transforms inti a beleivable bike mode.

HAHA that's what I was thinking, what the hell is that thing? whats that thing on the top right?... did they ever say accesories would come with the figure? so like bumblebee would get a stop sign, and grimlock would get a palm tree for props.

Looks nice. I really REALLY don't want to buy this line though. I probably will
The packaging is nice. It represents what its supposed to, but I think it's not Transformery enough. It could be for any simple animated toy line. Reminds me of baseball for some reason.

At first i thought I wouldn't be getting anything from the animated line, but the designs are really growing on me (Leno chins and all.) Granted, they will get their own shelf. I guess I should start saving money now.

I can see I'll be having to put up a new shelf in my collection room. Prowl is looking really sexy. It's amazing how they can such a stylized robot look while having virtually no kibble. And if that stop light really is a weapon, that is by far the coolest weapon ever. Ever.

Looks like a stop light to me too. it also looks like its ment to be some sort of weapon for him. He must beat up decepticons in the cartoons with his leat stop-light-ninja-flail or somehting.

it's a potential must buy, except for the chins. why oh why in primus did they ever stick with those chins, at least they could have put in some detail like metal seams or stuff like that. looks posable enough though.

The packaging is "yuck". Hasbro box designers seem to have a phobia for right angles...
The toy is...so-so. I'm really not impressed. Maybe it's because they demoted Prowl into a motorcycle...

Takara copyrighted the right angles boxes. So Hasbro can't use that kind of box design.

The packaging looks like a cheap 1€ toy. So plain, so few textures. In a toy store I wouldn't look twice at it, because it really looks like a cheap inferior toy with that packaging.
