First Images of Animated Voyager Grimlock In Color!

That is just plain beautiful. Grimlock looks like the toon, new and old, with the proper overall position but with proportions suggesting the endearingly inaccurate Godzilla of the original. The sword looks like something War Within Grimlock would happily wield. Those who insist on G1 holiness have Classics and G1. Assuming 'bot mode holds together, we have a fun Grimlock toy. I hadn't realized it would be Voyager. I wish we could tell its size!

Looks fun and refreshing though there seem to be a few bots with an underbite in this series.

oh and i also got to say i think he's got the best looking sword in transformers history.

I think he looks great! Definitely will need two of these, one for robot mode and one metal munching dino mode.

That... is just so totally amazing. It's looks spot on from the show, although the tail seems a tad stubby somehow. Still, Grimlock and the other Dinobots are so bought when they come out, even if I have to fight a 5 year old to get 'em.

A definite buy, but I'd still like to see some pics of robot mode. It was a big mistake to push the animated line back in my opinion.

im not finding the colours as bright as i was hoping, that grey plastic always seems to look a bit washed out, im not sure why, the older G1 greys like that used on doublecross or grotusque seemd to show details better. I wonder if the orange parts are going to be finalised with the metallic gold paint like on the knee area, i hope so. anyway hes still a massive must buy, his apparently simple construction mean i might have a go at some rather bright coloured customisation, im imagining a magma version, all red/black.

hes a voyager as far as indications go so hes going to be bigger than the g1/classics version but probably not that much bigger although in bot mode he could end up quite tall.

I've liked the looks of all of the Animated stuff,
but just from looking at that one picture,
he may be my favorite Animated figure.
Yes, better than Soundwave, and maybe even Leader Megatron...

BIG PROPS to Hasbro, for making him Voyager class, and not a little deluxe.

That enourmously goofy underbite just ruins the aesthetics for me x_x The rest of the Dinobots look terrific, but sadly I'll have to pass on Grimlock unless I can get ahold of some tools and fex his heads to my liking :\

The underbite works on Bulkhead, and that's about it.

And I've been saying to myself I'm only gettting Prime and Starscream but the more pictures I see of the animated stuff, the more figures I want.

Grimlock looks amazing. Quite possibly best Grimlock ever.

Grimlock is the best looking figure in animated as good as leader megatron, I'll be picking him up as soon as I see him.

pretty cool figure. i wasnt really into animated figures but after seeing these, i might havve to jump on grimlock and maybe the other dinobots. hope this doesnt ignite wanting ALL of the animated figures as of right now i only collect Classics and Masterpieces. =P

I agree. The flame weapons on these new dinobots are wonderful. He looks mean too! LSC Grimlock would definately approve. I'm also glad that Animated is keeping with the theme of the Dinobots not being totally on the same page as the rest of the Autobots. I wonder if we'll see this new Grimlock inspire this new, unsure prime the same way he did in War Within. We do need Prime with clout.

After seeing that I really am loosing hope for this figure. Those arms don’t look very well articulated.

The arms are mistransformed in the pic.

I think if Transformed better I’d like it more, but the shoulders don’t look too promising, I seriously hope there’s going to be some ball joints in there.

Even the T-Rex has a Leno chin... Count me in the minority that thinks this fig looks ridiculous.

its the best figure for grinlock ever.........ah those sword, both jaw, both light pipe for both modes.... its killing me...... i can see theirs alot of heart been put into this animated. Oh and the sword will definitely be alternators grimlock's ... so will definitely buy 2. My expectation for blitzwing is even higher now.....

Yeah, I hope the arms are mis-transformed...
But the bot mode is still really cool imo.
I REALLY like the simplicity of these figures--
Areas where you'd expect to see detailed molding is left flat and smooth;
just has such a bold look.

I wonder how his bot mode will look next to Prime's Deluxe bot mode...

Yes, the arms are mistransformed!
Also the dino head in bot mode is too - see the unpainted prototype for how it shoud be.
