"Transforming" Bumblebee Costume on YouTube

Posted by Delicon Aug 22, 2009 at 4:12pm CDT 42,033 views
Many Transformers fans have put on a TF costume for Halloween as a kid, and "cosplay" has become so popular with adult Transformers fans that there was even a special panel at BotCon this year featuring just that.

Still, all of that pales in comparison to this...

Apparently this is being used as a promotion at a car dealership, further proving the great positive effect Bumblebee and his Camaro alt mode has had on GM car sales.

Would've been great if not for the face that they didn't use the Bumblebee helmet and instead used a painted version of Prime's Head. #-o

Let's look at most transoformations though. You get your hips split in half, stick your head down by your knees, attach elbow ot foot, swing the shoulder around 180, shall I go on?

I noticed the Prime helmet too, I suspect this was done before the Bee helmet.

That is weird, why go through all that trouble and then get lazy with the head?

I have seen vids of people that had costumes like this that had pneumatics to transform certain parts and an engine so it could actually drive.

...people are complaining because the wrong helmet was used? Are you serious?!

The rest of the costume (and the fact it transforms!) is knocked down a few pegs because of the wrong helmet?

Geez.

He's got the costume, it looks cool, he's drawing people in, and what do you have? A computer screen to stare at, and NONE of the awesome.

Cosplayer? WIN.
Whiners? FAIL.

for the people complaining about the wrong head, go make yourself a better full body, fully transforming bee costume then.

Besides they repainted the prime helmet because that helmet came out before the bumblebee helmet, theyve probably been using that costume for awhile at that dealership, and the helmet has a voice changer to make the guy inside sound more robotic for talking.

Christ if it weren't for the whiny final fantasy/kingdom hearts fans, we would be THE biggest group of whiners as a whole in regards to a fan base.

Probably why I hardly log in and look at the forums anymore. I'm getting sick of all the complaining. This place has become pretty much just a news source for me.

What the heck are you talking about? This place is one of the more positive and upbeat boards, actually.

There will always be negative whiners, on all of the boards, but the positive folks far outweigh on here.

You want bitterness, sarcasm, negative jackassness? Give TFW a spin. Someone's ALWAYS got something negative to say, always picking apart every finely detailed thing. They can't get through their day without crapping on someone's parade.

Try TFW for a WEEK, come back here, and then talk to me about negativity.

Don't even try the ALLSpark...you'll just want to run your head through a thresher.

Hey! Show some respect! He was kickin' it old skool long before the advent of talking helmets and well thought out cardboard costumes.

He was a box, and he turned into...Nothing! But he did so with honor. Dignity, dammit!

Proudly a mexican, the Prime helmet actually looks cool in a Bumblebee costume, THAT TRANSFORMS!!! Funny thing is that he transforms almost the same way as Ultimate Bumblebee but with Cannon Bumblebee chest. I was thinking of making a Movie Prime costume that transformed using the ROTF Legends Prime transformation, but holy ****, that guy-s costume is awesome!!!!

That is awesome. To bad they had to paint a prime helmet. But when its all said and done they can change the paint and create a new bot.

It's a great costume, I'm not saying it isn't. I just think it's odd to go through all the work to make it then not give the same effort into making the head. He probably found out they were releasing a Bumblebee helmet while he was making it and decided to just paint the Prime helmet till then.
